The Cheshire is in a class by itself. The halls and sitting areas are so full of history and there’s an ambiance that we just love. Our suite, Treasure Island, was amazing! Large, clean, luxurious and cozy with a beautiful fireplace and large jacuzzi. We had a delicious dinner at the Basso, relaxed in the very British, cozy Fox & Hound, enjoyed a coffee at the Tudor styled Starbucks and as always, enjoyed breakfast beside the fireplace. We loved our stay!

Staff was friendly and parking free and easy. The location near Forest Park is great if a trip to the St. Louis Museum of Art is in your plans. The building and decor is old and eclectic. Room was quiet and the bed comfortable, but felt a bit run down and could have been cleaned better. The bar/restaurant "Basso" is steps away for great food, a lively bar and moderate prices. The provided lobby breakfast/coffee was simple but fine.

There was a bolier breakdown so there was no hot water on the property the last night of our stay, making a shower rather unpleasant. There were some obsrved maintenance issues in the fitness room: dumbbell sets over 35 lb. were missing, there were no towels or wipes to wipe down equipment, the trash can was overflowing in the men’s restroom, with trash on the floor, and there was little to no bottled water available the last 2 days of the stay. The breakfast was good as always, with berries every day, and the personnel were generally responsive to our requests.

Waited 10mins at an empty desk to check in while the attendant was “away”, food service was awful, window was open in room so it was freezing in January, room smelled moldy. 0/10. I honestly cannot express how bizarre the whole evening was.

This hotel is worth staying at just for the free breakfast and artwork alone. The room was comfortable, bar is cozy, but the HVAC in our room was annoyingly loud. The breakfast, however, makes up for a lot! Fresh Pastries, fresh fruit, bottles of water, variety of bottled juices, coffee, tea, milk, scrambled eggs, sausage patties and more! And the artwork is like strolling through an art gallery. We always enjoy our stay. The elevator could be cleaner.

This is a unique hotel. The bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. However, the hotel is filthy. There are scuff marks on the elevator doors and on the molding throughout the hotel. My bathroom and linens were clean, but the rest of my room needed a deep clean. Also, the breakfast was okay. The danishes were very stale, though.

The hotel was conveniently located and so so eclectic and charming. The decor was super unique, the room was spacious and the beds were really comfortable. Our only real complaint was that the bathroom was kind of rundown, the toilet was running and the bathtub was kind of stained (not really DIRTY but like permanently stained). There was a very simple hot breakfast, adequate but not fancy. Overall very pleased.
