The sheets were dirty, and the room smelled horrible. I had to ask them to bring up freshener, I eventually found out it was the sewer. The room also was really small and had little to no space. I’ve stayed at many Hilton hotels in the past and enjoyed it. Hilton can do better.

We stayed at the Tru by Hilton St. Charles for a quick one-night stay to redeem some points, and overall, it was a solid choice. The property is immaculately clean and very well-maintained, which we really appreciated. The biggest selling point is definitely the location. It’s incredibly walkable, making it easy to get to local event venues and various restaurants without needing to constantly move the car. The only downside—and it’s a notable one—is the sound insulation. The walls and doors don't seem to have much "sound deadening" quality. We could hear quite a bit of activity from the hallway and even the movements of guests in the room next to us. If you’re a light sleeper, you might want to request a room at the end of the hall.
