The manager Anna, was very accommodating, and changed my room without me asking because of my height. And gave me one with a larger bed.
A cooked traditional English breakfast was available, with cereals, toast, orange juice, tea and coffee.
Tea and coffee was always in the bedroom. And was cleaned every day.
Overall a good place to stay.
We paid for a superior room and got a smelly room with no hot water with little to no water pressure.
The sink backed up.
We had to purchase air fresheners and open all the windows.
The furniture was very dated and of poor quality.
I would ashamed to invite anyone into my home if it was like this never mind asking them to pay to stay there.
We spent 3 nights at this guest house and loved it. Anna, the host, was courteous and helpful. We arrived in Jersey on an early-morning flight and checked with Anna if we could leave our luggage there. She kindly offered to let us check in at 10am as there was a room available.
We had a family room which was comfortable and clean. The neighbourhood was quiet and safe. The guest house is 3 min walk to Goose, a lovely local pub where we had dinner twice and loved it. The internet speed in our room was extremely fast and the guest house has a spacious lounge area with games and books provided. The guest house is literally across from the beach and conveniently located on a bus/cycling route between St Helier and Saint Aubin. It takes around 20 min to go to the airport by bus. There’s nothing to complain and full English breakfast is included so good value for money overall.
We arrived Friday 15th August after messages exchanged saying we could self check in room 15. 1. Nobody on reception to give any information about dos and don'ts, in fact we never saw any staff in the time we were there, had to ask for change of room by messages 2. Musty room smell, not an en-suite. Loo basin leaked and moved, had to lay towels on the floor to soak up water. Cistern took ages to fill, a constant drip drip drip. Dirty light cord switch in the cubicle not very hygenic, since sink was in the bedroom. Fan didn't work. Light over sink in bedroom didn't work. 3. large vans stopped access to parking slots. Another visitor told us where the breakfast room was located and said he hadn't seen Anna in 3 years. Another told us about the use of fridge and other items in lounge Monday afternoon plumber fixed loo, told us not to worry about fan, smells and steam accumulation. Monday evening we were offered another room by message. By then we had had enough and curtailed our holiday. It was abysmal accommodation and NO, I stress NO customer service. Pictures and information about the site are very misleading. If you want a copy of the message exchange, I think I would be able to download them.

Hotel review
Sewold is very good value for money
Central to the Island
Added bonus with parking
Rooms are dated - but tidy & clean
Breakfast was good & a good choice
Anna couldn’t do enough very efficient & friendly 😊
Would deffo stay there again & recommend to friends
Anna is amazing without her this place would not function. Its not an easy establisment to run due to its age and needs updating inside. That said the breakfast is great and the rooms kept incredibly clean. The road is noisy but is to be expected being on a main road. The location is great for both coast and country and St Helier with parking outside its brilliant.
A cozy B&B at a very reasonable price with a beach right opposite the property. The lady who runs the B&B is very kind and polite and knows what she is doing.
The breakfast which is included in the fare is a good English breakfast with unlimited bread and cereal, juice and tea coffee.
There is a coop close to the property which allows you to get groceries.
If you're looking for beach facing restaurants then it's about a 20-25 minute walk or a couple minute drive.
In all, for the price, an absolutely worth it stay.
Warm welcome by Anna. Clean comfortable room. Communal area with fridge was very useful. Delicious breakfast. Off road parking. Coop in walking distance. Quiet location.
We had a 4 night stay, the room was very clean with 2 single beds, plenty of drawers and wardrobe space, bathroom with shower (hot water took a little while to come through but was very warm)
There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a small TV. We both enjoyed a very nice continental breakfast each morning from 8.00am (although because we were going out earlier we managed to get a slightly earlier brekkie)
The host was very accommodating for us as we had to return for an extra night due to a cancelled flight. The location was perfect as it was a mile walk into St Aubin with lots of amenities and only a 2+mile walk along the seafront into the capital St Helier. There was a very nice local restaurant only 5 mins walk away and a lot of other smaller eating places in the seafront both directions. The local buses stopped virtually outside in both directions for trips a bit further afield. The war tunnels were also only a mile walk away. A very enjoyable short break
Facilities old fashioned throughout. Suspect electrical wiring and noisy plumbing. Shower just a trickle of water and tiny . Staff hardly ever there. Breakfast was awful. No English breakfast just cheap cold breakfast . For £100 a night it was a complete rip off.

We’ve been 3 times before, and always had a cooked breakfast. This time we had a continental breakfast. The in room information book clearly shows that the cooked breakfast has been erased out, and replaced with continental breakfast. As we booked well in advance, I must assume that they were doing cooked breakfast recently.
