Disappointing Stay, Needs Improvement
I recently stayed at this hotel for work and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. The room itself was decent, though it could have been cleaner. The bed was comfortable, which was a plus, but several other issues impacted my stay.
The most concerning part was when a staff member from G4S walked into my room without knocking or introducing himself. He just started looking around. I was taken aback and, when he returned while I was on a conference call, I had to ask him to leave as it was disruptive. His response was to huff, slam the door, and walk off. I informed the receptionist about this, and the only response I got was, "Oh, that shouldn’t happen, sorry!"—which felt like a very dismissive response to a serious issue.
Then, there was breakfast. The quality was poor, and the service wasn’t much better. What really frustrated me was the unexpected charge for a white coffee—£3.50—when black coffee was included with breakfast. There was no mention of additional charges for any other drinks, either on the menu or by the staff. It felt deceptive, and certainly not what I expect from a hotel that claims to include breakfast.
Overall, this stay felt like the hotel did not prioritize customer satisfaction. As someone who travels frequently for work, this was definitely one of my more disappointing experiences. I hope management takes these issues seriously and improves both customer service and communica
