Sunsets on the Sand

This property is a 3BR, 2.5BA direct Indian Shores Beachfront Home. It has direct access to the Gulf of America (formerly Mexico) sand and surf. You step off the ground floor patio onto the short beach path that winds through the dune. High tide or low the beach offers some of the finest sugar sand in the country.

It is a beautifully decorated three-story unit with a two car garage on the ground floor, main living spaces along with a half-bath on the first floor and the three bedrooms (all with skylights) and two full baths on the second floor. The water views from every window say it all.

Sunsets, locally called The Show, are sure to be enjoyed to the fullest from the spacious deck, the balcony off the master suite, or the patio. Our preference is to watch The Show with our toes in the sand.

The recreation and relaxation activities are only limited by your imagination. Sitting on a beach chair or strolling the water's edge looking for treasures to the sound of the surf is a great way to relax. Wading and swimming is easy and refreshing in the warm waters of the Gulf. If you're under 65 you'll need a license to surf fish with the provided gear. You can catch your own bait with my bait net or purchase bait just up the street. Walking, jogging, or cycling up or down the beach or Gulf Blvd is pleasant before the heat of the day.

We are located on a quiet stretch of Gulf Blvd within a short walk to Caddy's Restaurant, ice cream shops, and other local shops. The rental shop next to Caddy's rents bikes, boats, and other items. Slyce and Original Pizza will deliver to the house. Many other restaurants are a short drive up or down the beach. We've had many pleasant meals at the Salt Rock.

We are 40 minutes from Tampa International Airport, and only 30 minutes St Petersburg/Clearwater Airport. Disney World & Universal Studios are an hour and a half away. Busch Gardens is less than an hour away! You can see Winter the dolphin at the Clearwater Aquarium just 30 minutes up the beach. The Tampa area offers many fine attractions for its visitors.

Sunsets on the Sand is a great brachfront location with its own private yard that opens up to Indian Shores Beach. The host was always reachable and accommodating to our needs. The house worked perfectly for our family of five with lots of space upstairs and comfy living quarters on the main floor. There were plenty of games for the kids both in the house and for on the beach. There were many little extras as well, like a sewing kit, some toiletries and a great spice rack! Unfortunately the weather was quite cold when we arrived and it took more than a few hours to bring the house temperature up to 70 degrees. And although all the BBQ stuff was supplied the BBQ was not in a workable order. Regardless we still had an enjoyable stay.

Absolutely the most perfect vrbo we have found in our decade of using VRBO. House was perfect, location even more perfect. Full amenities meant we had plenty of beach toys and chairs and things to do. Everything was spotless clean. I don’t think Mr Clean could have had it any better. Views were spectacular with direct access to the beach. Even a little private beach yard for the younger kids to play. Owner very responsive and even had someone local come and turn on the lights for us since we were a very late arrival. I can’t fathom a single thing to improve upon, would give ten stars if I could. We are already planning to come back in a few months!

Summer Girls Trip

This was our first family girls trip, with ages ranging from 75 to 18! The location of this perfect! We walked nightly to the ice cream place close by and to a restaurant and bar one night. We also cooked in a couple nights and we had everything there we needed! This property is extremely well stocked for all beach needs too! The only draw back, is all the steps into the unit and inside the unit. Obviously that’s not something that can be changed but might make a difference for someone. We would definitely stay here again!

Spring Paradise

We travel to Indian Shores every spring and have stayed at Scott and Mary's lovely home for the past 4 years. We just adore this location and I can't emphasize enough how beautiful, comfortable and well cared for their home is. I look forward all year long to drinking my coffee on the balcony, watching the dolphins bob along the shore and spending lazy days in the sun and turquoise water watching my kids play. So grateful for this house!

The house was absolutely perfect, very clean, had everything we needed. Had soap, shampoo, etc. Very nice pots and pans. Of course the best part was being right on the beach! The owners are the sweetest people...we forgot when our checkout time was and they showed up to clean and we weren't packed up yet!! They were so kind! Perfect location RIGHT on the beach!

This home is well-equipped and couldn't be in a better location for traveling with young kids. They were able to play on the beach right outside the back door. Everything we needed was in the kitchen for a full Thanksgiving dinner. Perfect week on the beach! Property owner was easy to reach and brought over a few minor requests almost immediately! Magical beach getaway

My husband and I stay on Indian Shores every spring with our 4 kids and this is our favorite house to stay in. We get to watch the dolphins swim along the shoreline in the mornings from our balcony while we drink our coffee; the whole house is comfortable and impeccably clean; the beach is just steps away... really, you can't ask for a better experience on the beach. We already are looking forward to next year!

Absolutely spectacular view!

The ocean view from the house was so beautiful! You could hear the ocean waves. The sunset was so lovely and peaceful. The beach was wide and the sand finely ground. There was room on the beach for bocci ball games, football, playing catch. We found sand dollars, sea urchins, and multiple kinds of sea shells. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking our own dinners. An overall, relaxing and peace filled vacation.

The property was perfect! Just steps to the beach and the most gorgeous sunsets from the balcony. The kitchen was large and fully stocked. A nice spot away from the busy traffic of Clearwater but close to several restaurants, bars, and shopping.

Incredible views of the ocean and sunset. quick easy access to the beach. Place was super clean and owners were great to work with. Just could use some updating and new beach towels and chairs. Loved the deck too.

Great place to relax!

Ours was a group of 5 adults having our first family vacation in years, and we're glad we stayed here. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the owner has provided lots of extras to try to make sure we had everything we needed. Sunset views were spectacular!
