The location and staff is what makes this property worth it. Yes, it’s expensive for a glorified motel 6 but compared to other hotels in the area it’s still worth it. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. You can hear your neighbor or anyone in the hall. The water is lukewarm and doesn’t get hot. But still all of that the location is worth it. Just keep in mind it’s a no frills but clean place to sleep. And try Still water Tavern! There food is amazing!

March 13-18, 2025 stay

Upon check-in we were told dining wasn't available and under construction. When making reservations there was no mention of this on website. Our room 905 smelled horrible and odd. Not to be rude but it smellsd as if the carpet had urine embedded or somewhat of a nursing home smell. Upon entrance the small coffee shop to the right look to be with minimal purchase items but nobody was ever there so we would need walk outside for coffee. The one gentleman that had a black and gray facial beard and mustache, I do believe he was the owner and was rather rude in regards to zero communication as we checked out. He was disheveled which I understand it was early however when I stated Inam checlking out, I asked for a receipt. He never acknowledge me, looked annoyed and handed me printed receipt. When he handed it to me he never said Thank you or anything at all. I work in the restaurant industry and with the public every day and know he should have had better customer service. I just spent $1,400 there to stay for five nights and I would have expected a minimal Thank you for staying. This hotel is in prime location however I think it needs serious help with management, customer service and amenities. If foresee it being under new management or become a new hotel with knowledgeable ownership!

Staff were very helpful friendly and responsive. Check in was great. I arrived early and was taken care of. The rol I’m was squeaky clean and the slippers and robe was a nice touch! I would book again. The value was great!

Very unhappy with this hotel. I will not stay with them again. Toilets back up repeatedly so you have to go downstairs to the lobby restroom. You can't even flush liquid without it backing up inside the room. The hotel did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation other than "sorry about that." The manager couldn't even be bothered to return calls. Very disappointed.

There was no valet parking like advertised on their website. Sink did not drain and water pressure was so low the water could barely come out of the faucet. Shower floor was filthy. Ever time we ran the sink and shower it mad crazy rattling sounds. They could not seem to get my room charge correct as many different amounts were swiped and declined until they finally put the correct amount in. Will NOT be staying here again.

Overall I would go back and stay. However the staff at the front desk at times isn’t the most guest friendly. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day however I don’t feel respected when I am cutt off mid sentence and rushed through my questions. The rooms are nice but you can hear your neighbors conversations and intimate times. Especially early morning. “Valet” parking is a joke. There was no “valet” I paid to park and parked my self and when I left same thing. Overall was happy. Staff could be better. Or trained properly in customer service.

Excellent customer service

The Galaxy distinguishes itself for the outstanding customer service. Check in was a breeze with Randy and Paula! They were very organized during the Grand Prix and were able to accommodate early check in. Also after checking out Randy was able to fix an overcharge due to miscommunication with another rep. The hotel was very clean and all their staff are customer service first. Valet parking attendant was very courteous and helpful as well. Will definitely return.

My room had a broken window, no water pressure and no towel hooks for the hand towels. The breakfast was a disaster. I had to wait 5 minutes for the barista to take my order and I was the only one in line.

The room overall was clean and comfortable. However, there was no bath mat in the bathroom for stepping out of the shower and no tissues anywhere in the room. We did enjoy staying there and the convenience of the location. Thank you very much.

I had never checked out of a hotel early to move to another hotel until I stayed at the Galaxy. This place is understaffed, undertrained, and missing so many basic amenities that it felt more like a half-finished project than a functioning hotel. Let’s start with the rooms—basic necessities were either missing or replaced with laughable alternatives. Instead of a proper towel rack, there was a tiny 3M Command hook stuck to the wall. The “closet” area had no real lighting, just stick-on rechargeable lights that barely did the job. There wasn’t a clock, and the ironing board was a tiny tabletop version instead of full-sized. And there’s no gym—one of the most basic amenities you’d expect in a modern hotel. The worst part? The mattresses were downright painful. Thin, low-quality, and incredibly uncomfortable, I woke up with severe hip pain in the middle of the night. Housekeeping was another miss—due to minimal staff, rooms weren’t cleaned until after 5 PM, making it feel like an afterthought rather than a standard service. Check-in was also a headache. I had to fill out paperwork, which made me wonder if they even had a modern system to securely store credit card information. It felt like stepping back in time to an era before electronic record-keeping. But by far the most egregious issue was a complete breach of guest safety and privacy. A food delivery driver was given my room number and allowed to come directly to my door. This is unacceptable. No reputable hotel should eve

Pros: Nice remodel in the lobby! Very friendly staff! Fast elevators. Very good location for the Indy Race in March. Really nice pillows. Cons: Limited parking and pull-up space. The remodel in the rooms had a lot of cheap stick-on fixtures and was short in many ways. The water pipes are not properly fastened so you hear pipes banging as toilets are flushed, sinks and showers are turned on and off, and other rooms use water sources too. Horrible mattress has a huge dip in the center and edges. Issues: Low water pressure for the shower. Almost no hot water flow at the sink. Shower hot/cold was reversed, so our kids got burned in the water during the first use. Leaking pipes in the shower wall so you had to deal with the tapping sounds of the dripping water in the wall for the duration of each shower use and about 5-10 minutes after. Became annoying after 30 minutes of constant tapping. We used the TV to drown out the sound. Overall thoughts: Not a bad choice if it were half the price we paid. But, for what we were charged per night, we expected a nice property with no issues and a more comfortable accommodation. What they have going for them is a friendly staff who is obviously trying their best to make up for the shortcomings of the property itself.
