Decided to go to a getaway with my family to to Opal Sol for a weekend stay-cation. We have been to almost all the Opal properties where we can only speak about great experiences, exceptional service, and spotless cleanliness.
First day we thought they lost my sandals taking my belongings to the room. After 1 hour looking through the hotel, it was all wrinkled in our kids’ floats. This could have been avoided if there would have been attention to detail. Then our 3 yr old and 1 yr old walking around the room barefoot as any child would, we realized their feet were black due to the amount of dirt still in the floors. We understand this is a brand new property but there should have been a deep cleaning process prior to renting out the room.
The breakfast in the first 2 days wasn’t the best. When you get seated in a table you are expected to be seated with your napkins and utensils. No… we had to ask for it twice even after the food was brought out. Service was extremely slow. Ms Caitlyn (the manager) was extremely receptive to the information when we asked to speak to her and they then tried the best to better our experience.
Last day, we had breakfast in the morning, which was amazing! As we are about to pay the bill, the server mentioned that my room is blocked from adding more charges, it was ok, we put it on our card. We walked to the front desk to settle the bill and noticed that they were busy, so I decided to go order my car in the valet .
