We recently stayed at Opal Sol for our 31st anniversary, and unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by an issue with the valet service. While the front desk check-in process and the overall facilities were outstanding—easily deserving of a 5-star rating—the valet situation significantly diminished our stay. After dropping off our Porsche GT3 RS with valet, we witnessed another hotel guest opening the passenger door of our vehicle and conversing with the valet staff, who did nothing to stop it. The front desk staff stepped in to address the situation, but by then, the damage was done. My wife felt uncomfortable and that her privacy had been violated. While I convinced her to stay the night, the incident completely altered the mood of what had been, up until that point, a special and memorable anniversary celebration. Guests pay a premium for a luxury property like Opal Sol for three key reasons: location, cleanliness/service, and experience. The experience begins the moment a guest chooses the hotel, and more importantly, when they arrive on the property. Unfortunately, the valet staff failed to uphold the standards of security and professionalism expected at a high-end resort. We shared our concerns with management and received a generic, templated response assuring us the issue would be addressed, but no specific corrective actions were outlined.

Whole experience was amazing from valet when you arrive to the front desk and pool servers. All was great and will come back again soon. Hotel is beautiful outside and the room was impeccable. Kudos to haily and daniel at front desk for the great service!

Lovely week getaway

We knew this was a brand new resort when booking, and while there were some kinks that still had to be worked out, as expected, we had a wonderful time. The resort was truly beautiful and brand new which was great. All of the bartenders, the pool manager Nicole, and pool staff were amazing and so welcoming. They really made us feel like family on our stay. Rooms were comfortable with a great view. The only reason I can’t give a 5th star is because hot tub was broken when we were there for a week, and we had some issues with being given misinformation about bringing our own drinks and a rude director of food/beverage in regards to the misinformation. The resort however did make it right after speaking to the general manager and we will definitely be coming back in the future.

Beautiful resort. Great staff. $40/night valet and $50/day for cabanas a little steep. For parking there was really no other option.Street parking is metered and a complete hassle. Recommend use uber/taxi from airport and trolly. Great restaurants and bars are all walkable. Staff were friendly and super helpful
