Decided to go to a getaway with my family to to Opal Sol for a weekend stay-cation. We have been to almost all the Opal properties where we can only speak about great experiences, exceptional service, and spotless cleanliness. First day we thought they lost my sandals taking my belongings to the room. After 1 hour looking through the hotel, it was all wrinkled in our kids’ floats. This could have been avoided if there would have been attention to detail. Then our 3 yr old and 1 yr old walking around the room barefoot as any child would, we realized their feet were black due to the amount of dirt still in the floors. We understand this is a brand new property but there should have been a deep cleaning process prior to renting out the room. The breakfast in the first 2 days wasn’t the best. When you get seated in a table you are expected to be seated with your napkins and utensils. No… we had to ask for it twice even after the food was brought out. Service was extremely slow. Ms Caitlyn (the manager) was extremely receptive to the information when we asked to speak to her and they then tried the best to better our experience. Last day, we had breakfast in the morning, which was amazing! As we are about to pay the bill, the server mentioned that my room is blocked from adding more charges, it was ok, we put it on our card. We walked to the front desk to settle the bill and noticed that they were busy, so I decided to go order my car in the valet .

Beautiful property. The rooms were stunning. Our particular room was the one bedroom. The balcony was huge with hot tub and outdoor shower. The colour palette of the room was very aesthetically pleasing. The bathrooms were huge bright and well designed. Beds were so comfortable! Hotel restaurants were fabulous, pool area beautiful and the gym was the best I’ve been too. Well done Opal. Look forward to coming back.

Very pretty hotel, brand new. Dining at the hotel is overpriced except for coffee options. Many good seafood restaurants nearby half priced. Try donut place! Loved Crabby’s. Gorgeous beach- $40 and up for umbrellas and chairs a day. I saw people using their own chairs. However, the hotel’s pool is basically on the beach so you feel like you’re on the beach anyway. Nice to have wait service at the pool. Loved the jacuzzi. Overall we had a nice stay. Oh and the view! Every room has an ocean view !

Hotel just opened a few months ago and is beautiful. Location is great. Staff around the hotel was also very helpful with ordering food and drinks, getting towels and chairs each day, etc. We had an issue on our first day where someone in our party was hurt which required one of the managers to fill out an incident report. After that no one followed up with us our entire stay to check in to see if additional medical attention was required. That would definitely make me rethink if I’d ever want to stay there again.

Opal Sol was a beautiful resort. It is right on the beach (across a small street), and chairs and umbrellas are available to rent. The pool is beautiful, with lots of seating and there is food and beverage service readily available.
