Known for being a nice hotel, we were disappointed with the musty smell in our room, the portable dehumidifier they placed in the room, and the WiFi service that went in and out. In our first night we asked for some extra towels, but I canceled the request after they didn’t show up within 45 min. The second night, I asked for more towels since my towels from the first night were still damp (too musty and humid). Luckily, those towels came in about 30 min. For $400 a night, I was expecting a better quality hotel. The location is great but just be prepared that the rooms seem very old.

The perfect place to rest and relax. Sweet town right next door. Wonderful food and staff. None of the over the top usual resort fees like valet parking. Very comfortable rooms and huge gym, spa and classes. A rare find in these days of overpriced hotels in noisy locations. Highly recommend.

My 3 spa services were booked 8 weeks in advance. I received a call the DAY OF my trip informing me that they had to reschedule one of my spa services and as a full-time very busy working mom, rescheduling was not an option, especially as I live one and a half hours away. This was very frustrating which I did state. They did not offer me anything for the inconvenience so I asked what can be done about this inconvenience and then I was offered a lunch voucher which I appreciated. I booked the 80 minute Swedish full body massage. I was brought to a treatment room that was right next-door to the outdoor area where there was an extremely loud baby shower going on. There was music and someone on a microphone and I then requested to switch rooms for the treatment. My masseuse was willing and we did switch to a better room. However, my treatment ended up being only 70 minutes versus the 80 minutes. This doesn’t sound like a big deal however when you are paying $175 for a massage plus $46 for the service fee -10 minutes is a big deal! The massage itself was just OK, however, what threw me off was that my masseuse reek of cigarette smoke, especially her hands which was very distracting and caused me to have a headache . They provide each client with a locker however it was very annoying because my locker key kept malfunctioning despite me following directions and not getting it wet. I had to keep going to the front desk for them to come and open it for me.

Needs updating

Overall this is a great place to stay. The main reason is the hotel's location. Once you arrive, you never need your car until you leave. Everything is very walkable. The hotel is in bad need of updating. It does seem clean but everywhere you look seems to be outdated. Great amenities. Just wish they would work on freshening things up some.

A sad review for a much anticipated experience.

Air conditioning system did not work well. Room service Did not fulfill our order as requested Is using their order system. Dishes were left on the floor outside our room from an earlier room service order. Pool area was not bussed/cleaned over the course of the afternoon - cans and dirty dishes left on tables and on the ground. The facility was attractive and we anticipated a much nicer stay than we experienced - especially for the price we paid.

The hotel states they redid the rooms last year. I doubt that. The carpet looked 25 years old and stained. The walls dirty and baseboards rotted. I stayed one night having paid for an ocean view balcony. It smelled. Id pass on this one.

Great little property in the heart of Safety Harbor. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The staff at the hotel was always very helpful and courteous. Rooms were large and clean - if only a little dated. But the hotel has a lovely charm to it.
