I was surprised with the smell of marijuana use and Curry when you walk in the front door. The rooms were clean. But the lounge chair had 1 leg broken and the office chair, the material was peeling off and sticking to your clothing. That chair needs to be replaced.

The property was veey neatly kept, bedrooms were clean and freshly renovated. We had a great stay for an older hotel, but all and oll was great. The beds were very comfortable.

our room 212 was nice and clean the breakfast could have more variety and the pool opened for guests pls take care of dusting the rooms and spiders in the tub

The keycard worked intermittently. Carpet in the hallway was stained. The steps to the second floor had food spills on them. The door knob to the toilet/shower was very loose, I tightened it so the door would stay closed. The sheets were threadbare. The shower creaked and popped when standing in it. The room was quiet and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Unable to get a weather channel on the tv. Coffee and breakfast items were good.

It is the only hotel in St. Stephen and so we needed to stay here. The hotel could use some upgrades. Including some little things. Our bathroom had peeling paint, a dirty floor and a hole in the door. There was no service of room which we were not told about. I had to go down to the desk to get fresh towels and I was told that I shoud just leave my dirty towels outside the doors and they would be replaced. Same with trash. There were multiple trash cans in the hallway on day two. There was no air flow on the second floor and it was hot and musty. If they cleaned up some of the little things first it would make a big improvement and then tackle the bigger issues.

Econo lodge St stephen SC

AC worked so that was most important thing in over 90* temps outside . Arrived early and was still able to check in without issue which I appreciated. Room was better than expected , friendly staff .

Property wasn’t in a terrible spot for food or gas it was at the edge of town that had a gas station and an IGA nothing fancy or any stores to do shopping just your basic necessities that I had briefly seen on my one night stay. The lobby was a little ran down and it did have a smell in our room I roaches or bed bugs but the floors needed to be cleaned I did bring my own blankets and towels which we where proved with both however our bonkets where a little dirty. We had a king size bed room with a bathroom above the mirror in at the sink on the upper top was mild nothing major I didn’t investigate or get any closer but I’m pretty sure it was mold or needed cleaned really bad. The bed wasn’t uncomfortable and it was very white at night. Customer service was really really friendly ! I will debate about staying here in the future maybe if a few things were updated and a little more cleaner I would consider without a doubt !
