Beautiful property!! The restaurant located at this hotel was a 10/10!!! I had the red snapper and my hubby had the steak. Walkable to shops but please be advised: this property is on a steep hill. The views make it worth it.

Train on stairs before you come!!

The hotel is an excellent value and close to all the shopping. The only downfall, and I think that they should make everybody well aware of this is that it is a very steep grade to get to the hotel which most taxi drivers won’t drop you off at their door because it’s a very difficult road to drive up so you’ll have to walk about 15 to 100 yards up to 16% grade and then when you get to the actual hotel, there’s about six flights of stairs that you have to go up. There is not a service elevator so if you have any issues walking or going upstairs, it could be a challenge. I think that they should make that pretty clear because since we’ve been here, we’ve seen a lot of people that would struggle for sure on those stairs.

Property is nice, just lots of stairs. Food and drinks at bar is very good. Only issue is when booking my group was unable to have consistent days with our rooms and had to move around. It wasn’t much convenience regarding that.

Getaway for a long weekend

We were on St. Thomas for a downtown wedding. The location was excellent for our purposes. The staff were very good and one issue with our room was addressed promptly. Please note that there are many steps in this property, so it is probably not suitable for those with mobility issues.

With the understanding that Pink Palm is in a historic area, I get why the reviews are mixed. If you’re not local you may not understand the history or restrictions when it comes to alterations to historic buildings. There’s only but so much renovations that can be done to historic buildings. Which is why I completely disagree with the area of this hotel. Starting with access to the place, there are two entrances and it appears that people are only aware of one which takes you up an excessive amount of stairs. There’s a back entrance which has a limited parking but is easier to access the hotel without catching a heart attack. The restaurant was nice, great ambiance, food was pretty good but a bit over priced. The waiter/bartender was chill. Now let’s get to the room, room was okay HOWEVER after the toilet’s first flush (of #1 thats is) it over flowed and we were no longer able to use the toilet. Hotel staff tried to be accommodating, we had an option to switch rooms or having access to another room, just to use the bathroom. We chose neither, because we preferred/paid for the suite with a balcony and it was an inconvenience to go to the other side of the hotel to use a toilet. Walking on the floors, it felt dusty so we kept flip flops on when walking around. We were given a credit of not much but I guess I can say management“tried”. If you’re down for the historic experience, Pink Palm is the spot!

The Pink Palm is great. The staff are welcoming -even better, the attentiveness does not stop at check in. Several more appropriately spaced text messages informed me of check in, emergency after desk hour contact information, and checking on us before check out. The plan of the property is impressive. Each room has its own little sense of privacy. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms are well appointed. Bed is comfy. It was perfect. A 5 minute walk doe hill to main st. 12 minute to ferry to other islands. Porters help with bags up and down the labyrinth of steps in the property.

The Pink Palm provides its guests with an attractive hotel in the center of Charlotte Amalie, which makes it possible for guests to walk round town and avoid taxis. Each room is unique in its design. Many have lovely views of the harbor, as do the many patios. Equally important, maybe more important, the staff goes above-and-beyond. Anything we wanted appeared quickly and was presented enthusiastically.
