1. Respect for Common Areas: Tenants shall keep shared spaces, including the kitchen and laundry area, clean and free of personal items after use. Tenants are only responsible for cleaning hallways or stairs if they caused the mess or damage.

2. Shared Kitchen Use: The kitchen is a shared space. Tenants are responsible for cleaning up immediately after each use, including wiping counters, washing dishes, and removing all food waste.

3. Cooking Restrictions: The use of heavy spices or foods that produce strong or lingering odors and staining is prohibited. Light cooking only (boiling, baking, or light sautéing) is permitted. Exhaust fan must be running while cooking or boiling.

4. Food Storage: Each tenant may store food in designated refrigerator and cabinet spaces. Items left outside assigned areas may be discarded without notice.

5. Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM daily. Please keep noise levels to a minimum during these hours.

6. Smoking and Vaping: Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the property or on and back decks or basement entryway, including individual rooms and shared spaces.

7. Trash and Recycling: Tenants are responsible for disposing of trash and recyclables from their room in the proper bins and following collection schedules. Tenants will not let garbage in room overflow and become excessive.

8. Safety: Do not tamper with smoke detectors, security systems, or locks. Any damage or interference may result in lease termination.

9. Damages and Fines: Excessive messes, damages, or failure to follow these rules may result in cleaning fees, fines, or deductions from the security deposit. The landlord reserves the right to use part or all of the security deposit for cleaning or repairs. Tenants remain financially responsible for any damages exceeding the deposit amount.

10. Shared Laundry: Tenant shall be allowed to use shared laundry and dryer. They must provide their own detergents. Washer door must remain cracked open after use using the provided door washer door prop.
