This is a beautiful inn full of character set in the lovely little village of Ufford. We really enjoyed our stay - the room was modern and well appointed. The pub itself is tremendous, great food, helpful staff - Paulw as very responsive to my questions about check-in/check-out and breakfast! You can't really ask for any more, congratulations to Paul and his team.

Well-appointed room (#11) but electrical noise

Pros: The room.
Cons: Noise elimination and Wi-Fi receptivity.
Location: Good access for Stamford and Peterborough.
Couldn't fault the room but unable to get a good night's sleep because of noise from air-conditioning unit or cold store cooler. It was like sleeping next to a fridge door with the electrical unit coming on intermittently through the night. Not recommended for those susceptible to this kind of noise. Wi-Fi available by standing out in the rain in the courtyard. Host advertises that rate included free Wi-Fi. It was unobtainable in Room 11. I like kippers. They didn't have any that morning. Three reasons why we won't be staying here again. However, the room was modern and comfortable. Let down by the aforementioned. Very disappointing because the place is well situated in a lovely unspoilt (and quiet!) village.

Overnight business stay for the wife and I

Delightful hotel at a reasonable price. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms all seemed like new build and the country setting extremely peaceful. Evening meal and breakfast was just quality. Slight ongoing issue with provision of WiFi but not enough to spoil anything. Would highly recommend.
