• Weather can change quickly in the mountains; please plan accordingly

Please note that an all-wheel or four-wheel-drive vehicle is required, especially in wet conditions. From November to April, we strongly advise having a four-wheel-drive vehicle for navigating snowy and wet roads. Virginia may experience plenty of dry days during these months, but conditions can be unpredictable. Take this warning seriously, as the property is located on a gravel road that, although short, contains a steep section in the last 50ft. There is a lower parking area that avoids this last section if needed. Please plan on checking in before dark. Refunds for cancellations due to weather conditions are not offered, so please be aware of these factors and prepare accordingly before booking your stay.

Please note this is a true mountain property with a gravel driveway and a steeper final section. AWD/4WD is strongly recommended year-round and highly advised November–April or during wet/snowy weather. A lower parking area is available if needed. Please arrive before dark when possible.

Prior to your stay, we require you to complete our Pre-Arrival Form, and sign & agree to our Rental Conditions.

• One complimentary bin of firewood included per stay. Additional bin available for purchase

• Complimentary kayaks are available for guest enjoyment and are used at guests’ own risk. Children must be supervised at all times
