The Cottage at Steele Magnolia is a charming, newly renovated home just 3 miles of of I-59, five minutes from Alabama International Dragway & fifteen minutes from Lake Neely Henry, Noccalulla Falls, Downtown Gadsden & Horsepens 40. The cottage features a fabulous, fully stocked custom kitchen, bright & airy, with leathered dolomite counters & copper farm sink, smoothe electric cooktop in the island, dishwasher, full fridge, built-in microwave & convection oven, built-in trash/recycle bins, K-cup or grounds single cup coffee maker with coffees (traditional pot brewer in cabinet,) sweeteners & creamers & a variety of small appliances & utensils to prepare meals of any size. Dining at the island eating bar for four. The comfy living room has plenty of seating with couch, loveseat and roomy swivel chair, game/puzzle sized coffee table, DVD player, basket full of blankets, games, dedicated workspace & 58" Roku HD tv. There are 2 bedrooms- thoughtfully appointed. One bedroom (Master - 12' x 12') has a king bed, armoire, basket & drawer clothing storage, blackout drapes, ceiling fan & bath adjoins. The 2nd bedroom (12' x 13') has a king bed & twin bunk beds designed for adult comfort. All beds have quality new memory foam mattresses, quality linens, accessible power strips with USB chargers & bedside reading lamps. The laundry has washer & dryer, basic detergents, drying rack, folding counter, iron & board, broom closet & laundry bins. The full bath has a tub/shower combination with tile walls, furnished bath products, plenty of towels, first aid cabinet, marble floor & vanity with quartz counter & good cosmetic lighting. Lighted makeup mirror furnished. Outside spaces include a front porch with porch swing & courting rocker seating. Also , our guest favorite, 11' x 26' back screened porch with comfortable furniture in the living/seating area, dining table & chairs for 6, ceiling fan, vaulted ceiling & an HD tv. The spacious back yard with fire pit has six wrought iron motion chairs for relaxing & stargazing - comfortable & easy to get into & out of for "those of a certain age." Firewood is furnished. There is a 6' privacy fenced "dog yard" to the side of the home with screened door access off the rear porch - we make every effort to keep your pets safe. The rear yard is large & can be used for on-lead exercise. We ask that pets be kept off furniture as it is all new, but we furnish couch covers for cuddling with fur babies. For larger groups, sister properties, The Holiday Rambler @ Steele Magnolia (sleeps 3) or The Guesthouse @ Steele Magnolia (sleeps 4) are available for joint booking. The Rambler is 130' to the rear of the cottage on the back corner of the lot. It has privacy fencing for the comfort of both units. The Guesthouse is 60' behind The Cottage and yet feels very private. The host lives minutes away should you need anything. Dollar General Grocery store is three miles from the cottage. Wal-Mart Super Center is 6 miles. I-59/Steele exit is 3 miles. Everything has been updated to allow for modern convenience & comforts but with the character of a southern country cottage. Steele Magnolia offers all the comforts of home for travelers, event stays, extended stays, family visits or a relaxing getaway. Sleeps six & is pet friendly & handicap accessible. Paved parking on premises, including boats, trailers, moving trucks or RVs. Attractions close include Jacksonville State University, Alabama International Dragway, Horsepens 40, Chief Ladiga Trail, Cherokee Rock Village, Noccalulla Falls, Mountaintop Trade Days, several wineries, Big Wills Creek, Tigers for Tomorrow, Rock the South & Talladega Motor Speedway. There is plenty of available boat parking for fisherman with charging outlets on the front & rear porches. 45 minutes NE of Birmingham &convenient to Gadsden, Springville & many local attractions, you will enjoy the cozy feeling, considerate design touches & refreshing outdoor spaces.
