Lage ist perfekt, Personal sehr freundlich u.hilfsbereit, aber die sanitären Anlagen MÜSSTEN erneuert werden und die uralten Teppiche haben nichts mehr in Schlafzimmern zu suchen …

Nice old hotel in the heart of Stockholm

Pros: location, views, staff friendliness, history, river bank
Cons: the rooms were a bit dusty
Location: excellent location within a walking distance of many attractions and Drama Teatern, King's castle and Junibacken
I stayed in this hotel because of its location next to the conference centre. It's nice, old hotel with a good breakfast. The hotel offers robes and slippers for its guests, and there is a safe and minibar in the rooms. Some soft drinks and wine are available at the reception. I highly recommend the soup on the list (Gulash, it is excellent)! You are also allowed to take some tea or coffee to your room for free from the dining room. The hotel is small, so you avoid queuing. The location is central: King's castle, Junipark with its' many attractions and museums is within a walking distance as well as Drama Teartern and many nice restaurants. I dined at the old steam boat that was full of couples in a romantic setting eating sea food. My entrecote was hot and well done. This might be the closest you can get the experience of living in an old castle in Stockholm!
