Great location, good space, caring host/caretaker

This was a wonderful flat to stay in as our base in the Stratford-Upon-Avon area! Close to most of the main attractions, it was comfortable and pleasant. The host and caretaker seem to really take pride in providing for their guests. We arrived to a fresh container of milk to use with our tea/coffees. While the host of this property was lovely to chat with on the phone, it would have been nice to have had an alternative way to communicate as it was a bit expensive to call from my US phone to the UK for 30 minutes. Needed the communication however for check-in instructions. This property actually uses Sykes Cottages and there is a bit of confusion as to what hotels.com can provide vs. Sykes vs. the host themselves. It would behoove hotels.com to make communication a bit more clear. We would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay there again as well.

No problems here, but don't expect too much

The place was adequate to our needs and the location was okay (but not really central--a ten minute walk to most things). Nothing bad to say about the place, but I might have expected more for the price. There was instant coffee (would have been nice to be able to make real coffee), and the walk up and down narrow stairs to get to the bath was not ideal. Outdoor tables/chairs looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a little while.
