Classy, Old World Charm

There are many pluses in staying at the Du Parc Dipendenza. Though the rooms are not in the main building, but the one next door, there is no lack of comfort or convenience. The rooms are modern, well kept, with all the conveniences, including a fully stocked mini-fridge. The air conditioning works well. The windows are equipped with old-fashioned, external shutters which darken the room quite effectively at night. The neighborhood is very quiet and certainly very safe. The hotel grounds has it's own park, with lounge chairs in several places to enjoy the surroundings. The included breakfast is served in the main building. It is a full buffet of fresh cold cuts, cheeses, eggs and a variety of breads, pastries and fruit. The main building retains the old fashioned elegance and comfort. The location is extremely convenient: an 8 minute walk from the train station and a 5 minute walk to the main road/harbor area, where on can catch the Malpensa Shuttle to Milan's main airport. In fact, Stresa is almost as close to Malpensa Airport as Milan is. Given a choice, I would rather stay in Stresa, than Milan. There is no need for a car. The hotel is within 5-10 minute walk to all the restaurants in town and to the main attractions in Stresa: the boat docks to the islands and the aerial tram to Mt. Mottarone. Of course, Lake Maggiore is the reason one goes to Stresa. Overall, the town and the hotel are a relaxing getaway. I would be very happy to stay at the Du Parc Dipendenza again.

Good hotel close to all amenities.

Du Parc Hotel is set in quiet pleasant garden but is close to centre of Stresa and near to ferries. Train to Milan is a five minute flat walk.

Very Friendly Staff

Very happy with this hotel, friendly helpful staff & owners, lovely gardens to relax in. A very clean hotel. A bit like staying in a rich Italian Uncles villa. We could hear train noise but it did not bother us. A short walk to the town centre, up a bit of a hill on return. Would I stay again? Yes please

Peaceful

We had a great time. The hotel is quite good and has a very nice garden. Although it is located very near the railway lines the noise did not bother us so much. Otherwise it is very peaceful and quiet while being only a few meters away from the waterfront. Stresa itself is a great location for a nice holiday on the Lago Maggiore.

Good location and friendly hotel

We were ib the annexe so the main building may be different. The hotel is in an ideal location within a short walk of restaurants, the town and the lakeside. The room size was fair but very clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom is a little small and dated but kept well stocked. The hotel staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. We would stay there again.

An excellent place to stay in Stresa!

The hotel Du Parc is a very well run, charming place to stay in Stesa - close to everything and has a lovely garden to relax in. The breakfast is delicious and the room was very compoftable.

Not a restful night

While the hotel is generally ok, although quite a bit past its prime, the main issue i had was lack of sleep. The bed was so uncomfortable, the pillows so thin and the train passing the rear of the propery so frequent I barely had an hours sleep. For all that its quite expensive too. Avoid this one.

친절한 호텔이지만..주차장 소음이 심해요

주차장이 작은 자갈밭으로 되어 있는데.. 밤새 계속해서 들어오는 차들 때문에 소음이 심해서 잠을 제대로 잘 수 없었다.(너무 피곤한데도 불구하고..) 제공되는 조식은 커피가 너무 맛있었고..전반적으로 맛이 좋았다. 호텔 직원들도 모두 친절해서 좋았다.

Zentral gelegenes, stilvolles Hotel

Das Hotel besteht aus einem Hauptgebäude (wohl 19.Jh.) mit schönen Frühstücks- und Aufenthaltsräumen sowie einem etwas jüngeren Nebengebäude. Es liegt leicht oberhalb der Altstadt am Hang und hat eine eigene kleine Auffahrt von der Straße. Umgeben ist das Hotel von einem großen, gepflegten Gartengrundstück mit Sitzgelegenheiten und Parkmöglichkeiten. Nach hinten wird das Hotel von der Bahnlinie begrenzt - dies ist auch das einzige wirkliche Manko: Zwar sind die Gleise durch eine Mauer und Hecken vom Hotel abgeschirmt; trotzdem hört man doch deutlich die etwa stündlich verkehrenden Züge. Ohrstöpsel sind also zu empfehlen! Das Frühstücksbuffet im Hauptgebäude war reichhaltig und gut. Das Personal ist durchweg sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mein Zimmer (im Nebengebäude) war sauber, praktisch eingerichtet und verfügte über einen netten kleinen Balkon.
