Holiday home on Lake Saimaa – peace and nature experiences all year round

This cozy and well-equipped holiday home is located on the shores of Lake Saimaa in the peaceful Finnish countryside, offering privacy, nature, and year-round comfort.

The main house is suitable for year-round use and longer stays. It includes two bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, entrance hall, utility room, sauna, shower, toilet, WiFi, and towels/bed linens are included.

Sleeping arrangements in the main house:
– Bedroom 1: double bed
– Bedroom 2: two single beds
– Living room: sofa bed
The main house accommodates up to six guests. During the summer season, additional sleeping space is available in the lakeside sauna cottage, which includes a sofa bed. The lakeside sauna features a traditional wood-heated sauna and a cozy lounge right by the lake.

The property is private and sheltered, with no direct view of neighboring cottages. Guests can enjoy a hot tub, an outdoor fire pit, and a traditional Finnish kota, especially inviting in autumn and winter. In summer, a gas barbecue is available, and outdoor dining is easy and enjoyable.

The main house features an air-source heat pump, providing both heating and cooling, and has a two-step level difference, so it is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

Nature can be enjoyed all year round. In summer, guests can swim directly in the lake, a special experience right from the wood-heated sauna. The beach has a pleasant sand and stone bottom. A rowboat is available free of charge, and an outboard motor can be rented for an additional fee. In winter, outdoor winter equipment such as sledges is provided (seasonal availability). The surrounding forests are rich in berries and mushrooms.

Nature experiences throughout the year:

Spring: Witness the awakening of nature and the return and nesting of migratory birds in the surrounding area.

Summer: If you are lucky, you may spot the rare Saimaa ringed seal in the lake.

Autumn and winter: Guests might enjoy the northern lights dancing in the sky.

The property is ideal for families, couples, and guests seeking peace and nature. A car is necessary; the nearest grocery store is approximately 20 km away.
