This 1200 square foot retreat includes a Full Kitchen, 1 bedroom with 3 single beds with an option to convert 2 single beds together to make a king-size bed, 1 bathroom with shower/tub, a large living room with 2 sofas that convert to queen size beds. Perfect for a men's fishing getaway or relaxing with family and friends.

disappointing

The house was "ok". Did not seem welcoming. Lots of labels on cabinets "owners DO NOT OPEN". The photos don't reveal that the property is situated in a trailer park. There is a shady apartment next to it. There is a dumpster about 30 feet away (for the apartment) from the stairs which you can smell from inside. Don't even think about bringing a boat because it will NOT be secure. The whole area outside at times reeked of marijuana as there was a man from the trailer park riding around on a golfcart smoking it. At night in the darkness there were locals fishing 20 feet away from our boat parking area. Arrived Monday at 9pm, left Wed at 10am. We left a day early!

Great little house

My Dad, cousin and myself made our first visit to fish the lake. We will be back for sure. Great location and perfect 1 bedroom, 1 bathrrom house. Great screened in porch. We will definitely be back.

Santee Fishing

Errol and I have stayed at this location on several occasions and have found the location perfect for fishing Santee. Good parking for boat and trailer. Screen porch is a great place to relax and take in the beautiful lake. I plan on at least 4 future trips in 2025. Thank you

Refreshing and Peaceful

Whew!!! It’s not very easy to impress me! The pictures of this Getaway are Accurate! Everything is updated, There are No funny smells, No roaches or bedbugs, I’m a Faithful Watcher of HGTV and shows about renovations, someone put great thought into this home and it’s design.From the mat that’s on the ground at each staircase outside to the rugs on the screened in porch! Very Organized, with instructions and phone numbers for help in places where we could see them. Calming Colors, beautiful flooring! I’ve Already told at least 10 people 🤭 I Don’t Know Tom Charles, but He is represented Well in this Lakefront Home. Don’t Second Guess Renting this Place! The Only Thing “I” Would Do Differently is that I would bring a pillow topper for the mattress ❤️ Blessings 🌻

The View

I love this place. The view of lake was amazing. The screen porch makes you feel like you can step right into the lake. It had everything we needed. You only need your clothes. So relaxing. We did a little fishing right in front and actually caught some nice fish for fun. We will be back.

Great view, good fishing

I enjoyed my stay here. It is a very nice home. You can walk right out back and fish or just sit by the water. Water view when indoors is nice. Host was very responsive. Please know that you cannot take fish remains to the dump. They have signs, and they told us they do not accept them. When we asked how we should dispose of them, they told us they didn't know, but recommended we dig a hole. So, that was interesting. You only have access to the public dock, which isn't far. Short walk. I was slightly under the impression from the pictures that we had a private dock, but that was my mistake. It doesn't state that in the description, i just assumed. There is a restaurant right next door. It is decent. We brought food for our meals with us, but i did try their coleslaw, because im a coleslaw lover. I didn't care for it. Also, be aware that they do karaoke on Saturday nights. Friday there was no karaoke. It isn't quiet and peaceful on Saturday night for fishing, but if you like the night life, it would be good for you. I'm not sure how often the blankets/quilts are washed. The instructions were to fold them up after use instead of putting them with the sheets to be washed. We woke up Saturday morning to a bunch of tiny bugs/insects in the bathroom. All over the sink and the walls. They almost looked like gnats i guess. It wasn't a big deal though. We were just surprised. It definitely could've been something worse. No wash cloths. Bring some.out of space

We were looking to relax and just chill out by the water and we did just that! Great accommodations and a beautiful view of Lake Marion. This was a great place for a little getaway. I’m sure we will come back.

Perfect place for fishing/golf weekend getaway

Went on a fishing weekend with my son and found this place to be absolutely perfect. Good location to meet fishing guides, golf courses around. Place is very clean, and clearly the owner takes pride in their place. Perfect relaxing view of the lake at the end of the day. Could not have found a better place for this kind of getaway.

Great for a fishing tournament stay!

What did we like best? Only 50 steps to eat lunch or dinner at a great little restaurant. You can even let the older kids play a game of pool there. The simplicity of the house is great, no clutter! The goat and fishing wall decor is perfect for its location on goat island. We also appreciated the creative guest information board located in the kitchen area. Great outdoor lighting for guests, excellent screen porch, beautiful floor to ceiling sliders that glide open and close with ease. Great pots and pans supplied by owner. Great parking spaces labeled specifically for guests. So if you like simplicity and a beautiful view- BOOK!

BEAUTIFUL

The pictures don’t do this house justice. It’s absolutely beautiful. Very much 1 year old kid friendly! It’s simple and so welcoming. It was clean and the house smelled fresh. The big sliding glass door and screen porch sold it for us. We will definitely be back. The restaurant does have very good food and everyone that lives there is super friendly.
