About this property
Driftwood 6 - Private Beach Stay
Summary:
Flexibility is the key at this chic two-bedroom holiday apartment in Noosaville. Nestled directly on the water in the prestige canal-side estate of Noosa Sound, the property is part of a small boutique complex. It has been completely renovated to a high standard, with modern furnishings and fittings adding to the sense of tranquillity created by the outdoor panorama.
The Space:
Spread across two levels the apartment centres its communal lifestyle hub downstairs, where a modern kitchen – fully equipped for creative home chefs – opens to a spacious dining zone and living area and then through to the river-facing deck. A classically muted colour scheme ties the flowing space together, building on a canvas of white with shades of coffee and chocolate, eye-catching decorative objects and natural textures and dark timber.
The bedrooms are thoughtfully placed upstairs for peace and privacy with both being air-conditioned.
Making the most of their location, the two levels in the apartment offer furnished north-facing timber decks, gazing out over the emerald canal. These make an ideal spot for a morning coffee, daytime catch-up or dinner served alfresco style around a table, while a cosy sunlouger is an invitation to relax or disappear into a good book or podcast. The lower deck offers direct access to a beautiful strip of white sandy beach, long enough to indulge in playtime, cast in a line or enjoy a cooling dip. A shared jetty is a launching point for watercraft and watersports.
With a sense of privacy despite its location right on the main river, the Driftwood complex comes complete with a tropical pool and barbecue zone. This allows for celebration and camaraderie in your own backyard. Or, for an adventure further afield, the apartment is within an easy journey of some of the area’s best attractions, from the river views and restaurants along Gympie Tce to the delights of Hastings St, Main Beach and Noosa National Park. Journey by car or set out on foot, which is always a wonderful way to discover a new locale. There’s plenty to explore no matter your interests, from swimming and surfing to bushwalking and bargain hunting. It’s all about the flexibility to enjoy and enrich your holiday in your way. And there couldn’t be a better apartment for it.
Guest Access:
Guests will have exclusive access to the entire home and shared access to the pool throughout their stay
The Neighborhood:
Noosa is recognised as a UNESCO biosphere reserve, this chic coastal town is surrounded by bay, beach, National Park and river. Visitors to Noosa love to swim at Noosa Main Beach, surf the Noosa World Surfing Reserve, walk the Noosa National Park’s stunning forest and coastal trails or picnic as the sun sets over the hinterland behind the river mouth. Home to iconic Hastings Street, which is famous for its shopping and dining, Noosa’s main beach is lined with restaurants, cafes, bars and an eclectic array of boutiques, homeware stores, galleries, and surf stores.
Noosa Junction or as it is affectionately known by locals, ‘The Junga’ is a buzzing little village just over the hill from Hastings Street, ‘The Junga’ is home to a wonderful world of bars, restaurants, live music, coffee shops, fashion boutiques, laneways, night markets, street art and photo galleries.
With the Noosa River winding through its heart and river hire businesses dotted along its 2km of grassy foreshore, Noosaville is a lively centre of aquatic activities including swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing and jet skiing. Restaurants, cafes and bars on both Gympie Terrace and Thomas Street, many with stunning views of the Noosa River, serve up tastes from around the world as well as contemporary Australian fare that cater to all tastes and budgets. Shopping is also well catered for in Noosaville with an excellent range of boutiques retailing everything from shoes and beachwear to surfboards and clothes for any occasion.
Noosa ferry’s custom-built classic riverboats cruise between Hastings Street, Noosaville and Tewantin (Noosa Marina) with seven stops along the Noosa River with a one-way trip taking about 40 minutes.
Tewantin is a quiet, village-style suburb situated along the Noosa River from Noosaville which features a pedestrian-friendly main street renowned for its striking Poinciana trees showcasing vibrant orange-red flowers during the summer months. Originally established as a timber town and serving as the river port for the Noosa region, Tewantin is home to the vehicular ferry connecting to Noosa’s North Shore and Fraser Island, as well as the Noosa Marina, a hub for riverfront shops and restaurants, and host to weekly craft and produce markets.
Inland from Noosa and popular for day trips is the Hinterland where green valleys are dotted with cafes, galleries, vintage stores, markets and historic pubs. Known for their incredible natural beauty, the Noosa Hinterland is comprised of country towns including Eumundi, Cooroy, Pomona, Kin Kin, Cooran and is also home to the Noosa Everglades. One of only two everglades’ systems on Earth, the Noosa Everglades is a 60km stretch of pristine waters, magnificent flora and fauna and narrow waterways.
Heading south, locals and visitors alike love Peregian Beach for its laidback and chilled beachy vibe and its village square which is home to boutique stores, a host of restaurants, cafes and takeaways set under cool shady trees and its makers’ market held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday morning of each month.
