Overpriced and run down – completely disappointing The staff were friendly and the room itself was clean, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The facilities are in very poor condition. Broken fly screens, damaged curtains, dirty carpets, and walls that haven’t been patched or maintained. The neighbour’s door wouldn’t close properly and slammed loudly every time, which made it impossible to relax. The pool area is overgrown and neglected. The car park and undercover entrance have broken beams and large holes in the ceiling, which feels unsafe and unacceptable. For nearly $400 for two nights, this place is massively overpriced. The condition of the property is nowhere near what you would expect for that price. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

The receptionist- “Sorry, no towels, our delivery has not arrived. Actually I am not sorry, it’s not my fault” An absolute disgrace. 2 hours later we eventually got towels.

Very basic accommodation which was all we needed but definitely not worth what we paid. Staff friendly and room clean but the whole place looked run down and could definitely do with some refurbishments. A couple of glasses in the room would’ve been handy, only had 2 mugs to drink from. Close to town which was handy.

We were travelling through to another destination, getting weary we decided to rest, called this motel, greeted by Sam, very welcoming. It was our lucky day, the bed was so comfy. The room was spotless, as was the bathroom.

Room needed a little work ie wobbly uneven table to eat on, bed was old and springy etc. However it was clean, the shower was great and the front room staff were lovely, very helpful and accomodating, checking on us if we needed anything.

So, the place is run down and could use some maintenance as this really detracts from the rooms. There is no cutlery yet a toaster and microwave. the current photos do not represent what you see when you arrive, which again is unfortunate. Doors have difficulty with being locked, windows dont lock. On highway but noise is limited until the morning. There is no foxtel despite the sign. Staff are very friendly and obliging to assist. Would be good to have a breakfast option too. Yes its advertised as 3 star, but for the price paid would expect so much more. Somewhat overpriced.

Family room - queen and 2 singles

The Motel In Nambour was perfectly clean with all items and bathroom in very good condition. We had the family room for a brief overnight stay as just needed a place to sleep before an event the next morning. Service was good however we didn't need anything as only came back to the room at 9pm and left the next morning at 7.30am. The location was very quiet with no road or outside noise to disturb sleep which was great. The room was spacious, had a good air conditioner, fridge, microwave, kettle, table for four which we didn't use but it was good that it was provided. Linen and pillows were fine but we were not a fan of the queen mattress and found it quite springy and uncomfortable - where we could feel every movement of the other person. Maybe the other rooms have different mattresses? We realise that it is a motel and did not expect 5 stars and only thing to improve is a new queen mattress in the family room.
