The front desk attendant was friendly, the room was really musty smelling and the overall conditions of the place was really rundown. Stairwells desperately in need of a coat of paint, looks like handprints of people going up and down the stairs all over the place. Boiled eggs in package 3 days from expiration and tasted like it, horrible breakfast with little to no options. I would avoid staying there again like the plague.

Loved the core in the entryway, and the pumpkins out front. Did not like cosmetic things such as the carpet, and I did not like how well lotion and soap were able to be open by anybody. Cautious about whatPrevious hotel doors could have put in those bottles

This is like going to your grandma’s house. The woman working the front desk asked everyone how they slept. She “saved”certain breakfast items for some of the travelers. She was seriously the cutest lady. I don’t know who she is, but seriously hang on to her!

Very clean and comfortable. Near Wisconsin point for quiet time enjoying Lake Superior and over the bridge to Duluth. Best of two worlds. Have stayed there for the past few years.

It was right off the main road , the only thing is if you miss your driveway in to the parking lot and happen to use the gas station driveway you had to go out to the main road and turn around to get back to the right driveway.

Clean but odor

The room was clean but had a weird odor. The window latch was broken, so it could not be locked. The breakfast was pretty minimal, so ended up going somewhere else to eat.

The staff, especially housekeeping, were friendly and obliging. There were several notable things about the room that were sub-standard: 1) Upon entering our room, we were accosted by a heavily dank and musty odor. It was difficult to go to sleep because of it. The next day, I opened the window (which had a broken lock) to allow fresh air. 2) The bathroom door did not swing, but stuck against the floor, requiring extra effort to open and close. 3) The bathtub did not drain during showers. We asked housekeeping for a plunger which they provided.They offered drain cleaner as a follow up. Both of which solved the problem. 4) The room door security lock is composed of cheap, frangible metal - easily broken. 5) Television reception was poor.
