This sweet little chalet on the pretty Gower Peninsula is a brilliant base for couples or small families looking to explore the best of South Wales. It’s tucked into the pretty seaside spot of Caswell Bay in Swansea, just 150 metres from the beach – a hit with surfers and families thanks to its sweeping views, easy-access amenities and glorious sunsets. Keen golfers will find a course 1 mile away, while walkers can join the coast path and take in scenic spots like Snaple Point Viewpoint (1 mile) en route to the vibrant village of Mumbles (2 miles as the crow flies), where you’ll find a charming pier, bustling bars and great restaurants. For a day of city adventures or a supermarket run, Swansea’s bright lights are only 6 miles away. If it’s wilder scenery you’re after, the dramatic Three Cliffs Bay (6.5 miles) is a must-see, with its limestone formations, salt marshes and sand dunes.
This accommodation, all laid out over one floor, is small but perfectly formed, with fresh white walls for an airy look and feel. Wooden accents and carefully chosen artwork add to the appeal. The bright and open-plan living area has plenty of sofa space and a sleek corner kitchen with white tiles and elegant stone work surfaces. It’s a pleasure to cook, read or enjoy a film viewing in this light-filled space. A foldaway table enables you to make a dining space for everyone to eat together. Two bedrooms – a double and normal 3 foot adult single bunk beds – are neatly arranged off the main space, along with a modern shower room and WC.
Outside, you’ll have an open garden area with a small lawn plus a table and chairs, so you can tuck into sunny breakfasts and evening meals in this tranquil setting. Private parking is available for your vehicle.
