Firstly I'll mention the good things. The stars of the hotel are undoubtedly the staff. They were very helpful, friendly and professional at all times, responding quickly to any requests we made. We couldn't have wished for better service.
The furnishings and fittings in the hotel are high quality but at the rate we paid this hotel is not good value for money.
The room was small, cramped, long and narrow, very little floor space around the beds etc. The table by the sofa was basically wedged in by the bed, so close that my husband banged his head on the table getting out of bed.
We've stayed in budget hotels in the UK at around £60 per night with two beds, but with far more floor space than this room at around £200 per night.
In our view if you're going to offer rooms with two double beds and at these rates, you really need to provide larger rooms.
A couple of points about the bathroom: No towel rail, nowhere to put our wet towels! Do those who designed this place not take showers and need to hang up their wet towels? Of course they do, but never thought to provide this basic facility in a "luxury" hotel. In our view two wash basins in what is a small bathroom are unnecessary and the space would have been better utilised by providing all elements needed in a bathroom.
I wonder is the hotel aware that the door to the toilet is see through glass? Frosted but still see through. Not acceptable.
Problems with WiFi on arrival, resolved by a member of staff.
Won't stay again.
