I recently stayed at this hotel. I would like to kindly bring to your attention some issues I encountered during my stay, which unfortunately affected the quality of my experience. Firstly, the room I was assigned had a strong smell of paint, which I believe was due to its close to an area that had been recently painted. The odor was quite noticeable and made it difficult to relax comfortably in the room. Secondly, on Saturday morning, there was construction work taking place near my room. The noise started quite early and disrupted my sleep, leaving me feeling exhausted for the entire day, and I believe there is law that limits Saturday construction, which I have informed the worker. While I understand that maintenance and upgrades are sometimes necessary, I believe it would have been helpful to be informed in advance or offered an alternative room farther from the affected areas. Given the circumstances, I would like to kindly request a refund for three nights of my stay, as I believe the disturbances significantly impacted my comfort and rest. Comfortable and Affordable

Comfortable 3 night stay in newly renovated Queen Delux Room. Room has adequate amenities with aircon, refrigerator and hot water jug however lacks a microwave oven. Although next to a main road the room was very quiet. Affordable 3 day rate on Hotels.com made the accommodation good value for money.

Very bad experienced in this hotel.

Wake up in the morning at 7.20am no drop of water can be use for toilet, shower, or even brush the teeth, or wash the face. No warning given. Ask someone down stair said water will be in there in 10 minute. By 8.50am still nothing happen, I have a businesses metting at 9.30 am. By force I walk out from my room with out shower, toilet or even brush my teeth. Thank you for treating me like this. No words I can described....

Great price. Great location. Very close to train. Shops, cafes etc. all close by. Rooms had been spruced up and in great condition. Only downside was some renovation work at time of our stay. Will stay again next visit to Sydney.

Great location right next to the train station and free parking. Excellent value for money: a motel quality room at pub prices. No pub noise in the rooms, and couldn't hear the trains. Bistro meals restaurant quality at pub generous servings - very yummy and wide variety. When renovations finish it will be a great peaceful and pleasant stay.

Clean old pub rooms with better than average fittings. Comfortable and well kept. Bar staff were friendly and helpful on check in. Location is great - right near the station.

Stay for the Footy

The Kingsgrove Hotel was a great place to stay. I chose it based on some pretty good reviews, plus it had its own ensuite. Proximity to the Railway station was another considerable advantage, as we were going to the football in Kogarah, it was a 20 minute train ride with a changeover near the airport. The food at the bistro was great too as well as the selection of drinks on tap. The rooms are adequately sized for a couple plus the new renovated bathroom was great. They also have parking on site and it’s so easy to get in and out of!!

Shower the water runs all over the bathroom that means only one person can be on a bathroom at the time. Also the smell when you first walk in is overwhelming after you turn the air conditioner on it does go away that is not good for hath

The room was fine, but the check in experience and the area around the hotel was less than stellar. I thankfully only had to stay one night, as I was heading to another city. I would not recommend it if you want to stay for any longer than a night or two. The only upside was the easy access to public transit

The most important requirement for my stay was access to public transit and cleanliness, and the hotel met those requirements. The train station just across the street which is a huge plus. There are several eating places in and around the area, Woolworth is just a few meters away. The hotel is working on finishing the elevators until such time one will have to use the stairs, and because of the on going construction work, there is a bit of noise but it did not bother me. Please note that this is a pub hotel, thus there is live music on some days, again none of that noise was a problem for me during my stay. I would certainly stay at this location if I happen to come to Sydney.
