When people talk about a beachside apartment, they don’t usually mean it quite as literally as this. Manly Luxe is as close to Manly Beach as you can possibly be without sleeping on the sand itself – a 30 second walk across the road from one of Sydney’s most iconic beaches.

The proximity is obvious as soon as you walk into the property itself. The sun, the sea breeze and views of the Pacific Ocean fill the living room through full-length glass doors, which open up onto a beautiful balcony – the perfect place for a morning coffee or a sunset glass of wine.

Each of the three bedrooms has direct access to the balcony & beach views – on summer nights you can leave the doors open and fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. The master bedroom is particularly impressive, with a walk-in wardrobe, wall-mounted TV and a huge en-suite with a soaking tub and his-and-hers vanities.

The open-plan living area is the place for family and friends to gather. It’s designed to flow onto the covered balcony, where there’s plenty of space for lounging and al-fresco dining. The kitchen is an entertainer’s dream, with acres of bench space and high-end appliances, including a five-burner stove.

Manly Luxe is accessible by elevator. Common areas include a pool, spa, sauna and half a tennis court. The apartment itself features an internal laundry & fully equipped kitchen.

What the owner loves:
It doesn’t get better than Manly. Only 20 minutes from the Sydney CBD via fast ferry, it feels a million miles away – a buzzing town in its own right. Everything you could ever want to do is here, from stylish restaurants to buzzing bars, from outdoor activities to galleries and museums. Oh, and did we mention there’s a beach?

What we love:
Manly Luxe is the definition of elegant simplicity. There’s nothing over-the-top or showy about this property, but no expense was spared during a recent renovation. Everything in here is the best, from the appliances to the fixtures to the furniture. Because of that, everything just works.

What the active traveller loves:
There may not be a better suburb in Sydney for active travellers. Living in Manly can mean surf lessons in the morning and yoga in the afternoon, all-day bushwalks, stand-up paddle boarding or kayaking around the harbour. Manly Luxe offers even more: stay here and you’ll have access a residents-only pool, spa and sauna, as well as tennis courts if you fancy a hit around. Go on, live the Manly life.

Wonderful beachfront stay

Our stay at Manly Luxe was wonderful! We had great communication with the caretakers of this property, Erika and Richard. They meet us on sight to introduce us to the property and to give us access to the unit. The decor and amenities of the apartment were modern and stylish, and the views were magnificent. The beach is right outside, countless bars and restaurants are within walking distance, and the Manly Warf is a quick 10 to 15 minute walk if you want to catch the ferry over to the city. To speak to the quality of the caretakers, we accidentally left valuables at the unit, and they immediately contacted us to tell us and coordinated meeting up with a member of our family that lives near by to drop these items off. We’re incredibly grateful for their honesty!
