Having stayed at a Pullman property before in Auckland, we were very disappointed with this property at Sydney International Airport.
Our major criticism was that having at first experienced problems getting into a room (door key didn’t work and room service items were outside the room on the floor, suggesting the room was occupied) we were then assigned to a second room, which ended up having issues with the air conditioning……it was 92 degrees in Sydney that day. Despite efforts to reset the AC, it was still much too warm, so the management offered to have us change rooms, but told us that this was the last room they would offer since we had already had 2 room changes!!!!….which was absolutely NOT the case. Yet they made us feel as if we were being fussy and overly demanding customers, which we resented as we are always very accommodating customers.
Furthermore the ‘gentleman’ ( I am using that descriptor sarcastically, but he was either a manager or assistant manager ) who was apparently on duty and arranged the changed room when they couldn’t fix the AC, was arrogant and frankly unpleasant.
However, some of the staff were great….Alison who was helping at the front desk; the bartender that evening (I think his name was Eric??)…they were courteous and professional, which was
