We had a wonderful one night stay at the Wildlife Retreat. From the moment we checked in, we were well looked after and in awe of the beauty and peacefulness of this place. Breakfast was amazing - food was high quality and the view was spectacular! The only negative was the dinner we had at the lounge bar - nothing to rave about and the chicken burgers were dry and made of thigh meat (for $31 would expect breast fillet). If I knew it was thigh we wouldn’t have ordered it. The pizza was very average and way too cheesy. The wine was spot on though! Overall, would highly recommend to stay at this retreat - we loved it 😃

Property is brilliant, views to city to due for, access to zoo, room great (koala snoozing outside). Only downside for us was restaurant evening menu - trying too hard to be different/special.

Highly recommend!

Highly recommend the Wildlife Retreat at Taronga Zoo. We loved everything about it! We had a sanctuary view room and enjoyed watching the koala outside our room balcony. The service and tours were great. Dinner at Me-Gal was excellent, and drinks from the bay in the lobby lounge were good too.

Great but would only go once.

Service was excellent and of course staying at zoo is amazing experience. Though couch in our room was filthy and air con has limited settings. It’s expensive but the money is going to animals so I’m guessing that’s why, because I’d never pay a price like this for the room type. The personal tours were great.

Loved staying overnight at the zoo. Everything was clean and eco friendly. The included private tour was informative. The added night tour and animal encounters were definitely worth it and goes to a good cause.

We had a lovely stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, a few things to note, they do not provide slippers so bring your own. They also don’t have room service which we were surprised about. We had to order food from the lounge and take it to our room which was a little bit of a trek in the wind. There is no separate car park. We parked at the zoo and dragged our luggage all the way to the hotel. We should have dropped our luggage off first as they do have a 15 minute parking area. We still had a great time and would recommend it.

This is a beautiful property set inside a beautiful property. Having direct views and access to Taronga Zoo was amazing. We highly recommend this especially with kids.

This property is one of best i have stayed at. I would of given it all 5 stars, but I didn’t think the bathroom was clean enough, and the Manager ( I think) of the restaurant was rude to us, when there was a little problem with a reservation- ( nothing to do with us, and not a problem for them to fit us in) Everyone else was amazing.

It was an AMAZING experience at the Wildlife Retreat at Taronga Zoo for My Son’s Birthday Gift. From stepping into reception your Wildlife journey begins. The staff were very accommodating. The staff and the zoo keepers go above and beyond—they are such an amazing bunch of people. The lodge was an amazing place, with so many artifacts and sculptures to look at, and our rooms were so comfortable and so beautiful. The food from dinner and breakfast was delicious and the servings were large, always plenty to eat. The Dining Staff Team were just AMAZING and so ATTENTIVE, they gave my son's surprise for my son's Banana Ice Cream order and he was so Happy. It's an experience we loved and are looking forward to returning to. This is a place you would truly need to experience at least once. A big thank you to Wildlife Retreat at Taronga Zoo for this Great experience.
