For the price I was not impressed. The room was large but very dark— the shower was not very nice (rusty, water not so warm), had to pay for bottled water and the safe did not work.

Room was very clean. Bedroom was very bright with a sea view, but there was a bar in courtyard below that played loud music until after midnight on a Saturday night. Also, the power went out in the hotel overnight with no lights or AC throughout the night and no explanation. Staff was friendly, location great, breakfast very nice and rooms were clean, but because of those 2 bad nights, I wouldn’t stay there again.

The breakfast was good though some fruit salad would have been nice. The other guests seemed baffled by the self service requirements. Maybe some greater guidance (rotation direction of guests) and induction to self service etiquette might have helped. The staff were helpful and kept their coolt despite the demanding guests at peak times. The front desk staff were exceptional.

This was a nice hotel with an ample buffet breakfast. Our room was comfortable, but not well appointed. The location was good. We were able to walk everywhere. The parking is very inconvenient and when we left our car for a moment to bring our luggage into the hotel, we were given a 29 euro ticket. There is no help in moving your luggage. We thought it would have been nice to have someone from the hotel watch the car until we got our luggage situated. The receptionist shrugged her shoulder when we told her about the ticket. The evening receptionist showed some sympathy. We would not recommend the hotel if you are arriving by car.

Room was small, but clean. Most surprising was that for a standard room, there were windows that opened to a wall, only 2 feet away!!! With a window looking down to our room, so we had to keep the shutters closed. Quite stifling. We didn't expect a water view, but it just felt like a closet.

The building was beautiful and full of character. Our room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. It was close to bars, restaurants and shops. The valet parking was well worth the $25 Euro particularly after a long day of driving. I would happily stay at this hotel again.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip and we got this huge loft style apartment room which was super cool! They had left us some treats which was very nice :) The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the swimming access point which is amazing. They charge 5 euros per beach towel if you want to rent it, and have a mini fridge stacked (with extra charges) of drinks. The service was amazing! One feedback is the breakfast was repetitive, it would be cool to see some more options for hot foods (for example: sausages, omelettes, etc. Overall it was a great stay and the hotel is like an amazing maze its huge and exciting to explore!!

This place is beautiful! It’s near everything and the breakfast was amazing. It was quiet and there’s a terrace that’s fun the hangout. Staff was also really nice Would definitely stay here again if I ever visited.

We loved this hotel. It was in a great position for the public solarium and for a variety of restaurants and cafes. The service was very good from the reception to the cleaning. Our room had a balcony with table and chairs and a sun lounger plus there was a great sun roof terrace with very comfortable seating . There is a lift to the top floors which not all hotels have in Sicily. The breakfast was good and offered a huge variety of foods.

A lovely building with a great roof terrace to watch the sunset. Staff were really friendly and coordinated a valet pick up for our car on arrival which worked out great. Room spacious with good amenities. Lots of choices for breakfast. If we are ever fortunate to be in Ortigia again, wouldn’t hesitate to stay here.

A nice stay in a good location

This 'apartment' was located in an ideal area - within a 8-10 minute walk from the city center. No frills (which is totally ok with me) -- located on a pedestrian street so definitely no parking at hotel, however, parking garage located within a couple of blocks and $25 euro/day so they were able to accommodate us. Staff was helpful (recommended one of our favorite restaurants on this vacation!) and was clean!

Absolutely magical

Beautiful setting—perfect combination of preserving original architecture and providing modern comforts like strong AC and modern bathroom. Loved my stay in the sea view room. Was a great size, had everything I needed. Staff so friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Amazing location. Perfect balance of being able to rest but also right in the mix. Quiet at night. Will return.
