One night stand

99 year old hotel just on the fringe of downtown. Plantation shutters in the room were extremely dusty. The window unit in the room was flashing "change filter" which was visibly dirty. The combination of those caused scratchy throats into the next day. Very noisy with lots of sirens outside. We were traveling with our dog and had a bunch of stuff to bring up to the room. Manuvering the luggage cart through narrow doors and a steep ramp at the back of the hotel to the parking lot was physically challenging for a guy in good shape who works out regularly. We would not stay here again.

Staff warm and friendly. Excellent free breakfasts and free all-day fair-trade coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Room was clean, spacious, private and quiet. Had microwave and tiny fridge, counter space, desk and lamp. Walking distance to University, some restaurants and downtown.

The location of the property was great for us. Clean room with available toiletries and we made good use of the fridge and microwave. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room, though constant availability of tea and coffee downstairs appreciated. Lounge area very pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast however, very disappointing due to lack of variety and slightly cramped area. Could also do with some recycling options. Only one lift working which can take a while to appear as it’s used by both staff and customers. All this being said, yes, we would stay again for its location and ease of checking in/out. Staff very helpful. Parking is a huge bonus.

It’s very 1920s glam think great Gatsby very classic classic subway tile bathroom a bit on the bougie side big closet. The bed was a bit stiff though.

Strong play for the money. Room was clean, good shower and bed was comfortable. Absolute killer deli place and taco place just steps from back entrance. Deli is open til 2:00 am and serves breakfast all day as well.
