Overall friendly staff, nice property and great location. The room is average and what you'd expect at a standard hotel in the area. The rating is due to how thin the walls are. We were able to here movement from the room above us, and slept poorly through the night as there was constant hallway noise that was very clearly audible in the room. In addition, AC did not work in the room, which left it uncomfortably hot.

I was unimpressed with the staff member. He was friendly but very disshelved, in a wrinkled undershirt and kept hiding his mouth awkwardly. The room smelled so strong of cleaning supplies it was nauseating. I feel like the pictures show the best of it. I think it’s overpriced for what you get.

I liked the modern touches in the remodel. Had a very comfortable bed, slept great. Their restaurant was so so. We arrived early and asked for a $15 early arrival fee which we declined and sat out in their nice patio area for about 45 mins when Juan came out and said he would wave the fee.

In the heart of Tahoe City. Easy walking to shops, restaurants and the lake. Will book there again. The only problem was their sign at the entrance has small print. They have a unique neon green lighted sign that only shows when your in the parking lot behind the restaurant. Our GPS kept misdirecting us all around the town. We went to a nearby gas station and the attendant told us to look for the glowing blocks where the hotel’s fire pit glowed in the dark. I’d suggest they use a photo showing the blocks glowing in the entrance or move the neon sign to the front.

In many ways a nice place but all a bit spartan; the TV was old, and the remote a known mystery (we checked online). It was not possible to adjust the volume! The coffee maker that was supposed to be there wasn’t and my wife had a hard time getting the room dark. Fridge had glass door which was brightly lit with a blue light. Maybe the curtains were blackout but if they don’t cover the entire window, that doesn’t really matter — it just didn't get dark. We improvised by putting shoes on the curtain to hold the edges in place for darkening. Not a good place if you want to spend the night watching movies or television. Plush bed and super comfortable pillows. Still, hasn’t quite made the upgrade from a motel. Nice staff. Perfect location. Plenty of walkable places to dine and across the street from the lake with public beach access. Parking was adjacent to the room.
