The staff was amazing and did as much as they could to make our stay comfortable. That being said, the walls were paper thin and we could hear the TV from the room below us and voices from the room next to us. The rooms could have been cleaner, particularly the walls which had some coffee splashes and pencil scribbles on them.

Everything was excellent though the hotel itself is very old, with new lipstick. Hallway carpets smelled musty. Room cleanliness was great. If I were evo I’d start updating rooms 1 by 1. Restaurant and bar were excellent! All Staff is/was excellent/friendly/helpful!!

The hotel room was clean, the beds were comfortable, check-in was quick, and the staff were courteous and provided thorough information. The hotel is in a very convenient location—just across the road from Lake Tahoe. There’s a small restaurant nearby where you can have breakfast.

Absolutely Unacceptable — Like Sleeping Above a Nightclub I don’t usually write reviews, but I truly appreciate businesses that take care of their customers — and I also think it’s fair to leave truthful feedback so others can make informed decisions. We stayed here because of all the good reviews about its great location and bike rentals. But none of that matters if you can’t sleep. The hotel and the bar downstairs are run by the same management, and they threw a party with pounding bass and loud music until nearly 1:00 a.m. When I texted the front desk, they told me to use earplugs. What kind of hotel says that? After midnight, their messaging service switched to auto-reply — no real staff response. Even after the music stopped, people from the party were yelling outside until almost 2:00 a.m. It’s unacceptable that a “hotel” expects guests to tolerate noise from its own bar. The core purpose of a hotel is to let guests rest — and this place completely forgets that.

Loved the location of the property & the cozy ammenities. A minutes walk to Commons Beach & Park and the bike trail that runs parallel to the lake. The hotel features 2 patios with firepits and comfy seating. October was the perfect time to visit because we nearly had the place to ourselves! This hotel also had a new, beautiful, dry sauna and a cold plunge. It was clean and while enjoying it, I saw maintenance come by and check the pH on the cold plunge. So I know they take care of the property. The front desk staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were uniquely decorated, beds super comfy, no road noise could be heard, mostly very quiet.... Please know, that if you turn your tv on at 6:15am, your neighbor is going to notice. If you let your kids run up and down the hallways outside the doors, your neighbor will notice. If you're carrying on a full conversation in the lobby at 7am, your upstairs neighbor will know! Please be respectful of quiet hours.
