Stunning lakefront views and private pier at Sunset Shores Lakefront in Carnelian Bay
IMPORTANT: The renter must sign a TTVR Rental Agreement within 24 hours of booking for their reservation to be confirmed.
Experience the magic of Lake Tahoe at our newest rental, this charming lakefront home along the tranquil north shore. This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom retreat blends classic Tahoe character with thoughtful modern updates, including a fully remodeled kitchen and unbeatable views of the lake and surrounding mountains. With 1,900 square feet of living space, a private pier, and direct beach access, this home is the perfect year-round escape for families or small groups seeking serenity and adventure by the water.
Step inside to a warm, light-filled living space that pairs classic Tahoe charm with modern comfort. The cozy living room features a gas fireplace, plush seating, and oversized windows that frame sweeping views of the lake—perfect for quiet mornings with a cup of coffee or gathering with friends after a day of exploring.
The newly remodeled kitchen is a chef's delight, with stainless steel appliances and everything you need to prepare meals at home. Enjoy dinner with a view at the dining table for six, set beside a large picture window that captures Tahoe's famous sunsets. Just beyond, a spacious lakefront deck invites you to dine al fresco or sip wine under the stars.
The home's sleeping quarters are thoughtfully designed for rest and relaxation. The primary bedroom offers a serene retreat with a King-size bed, direct lake views, and an en-suite bathroom featuring a combination shower and soaking tub—ideal for unwinding after a long day. The second bedroom also features a cozy queen bed and is perfect for couples or solo guests. The third bedroom is a great option for families or kids, with a twin-over-full bunk bed. These two bedrooms share a clean, full bathroom with a shower.
Summertime at this north shore gem means endless days of sunshine, swimming, paddling, and lakeside lounging. Launch your kayak or paddleboard right from the private pier, or take a refreshing dip in the clear blue waters just steps from your door. Nearby, you'll find scenic hiking and biking trails, charming Tahoe City shops and restaurants, and boat rental options for exploring more of the lake. Wind down your day with a glass of wine on the deck as the sun sets behind the mountains—summer doesn't get better than this.
When the snow falls, this lakeside retreat becomes a cozy winter hideaway. You're just a short drive from world-class ski resorts like North Star, Palisades Tahoe, and Alpine Meadows. After a day on the slopes, warm up by the fire, watch the snowfall over the lake, or play board games with your group in the spacious living room. For non-skiers, enjoy snowshoeing along the shore or take in the winter beauty from the comfort of your private lakefront perch.
With room to comfortably sleep six, stylish furnishings, and thoughtful amenities throughout, this home is the perfect year-round lakeside escape.

Tahoe Time Vacation Rentals is a locally owned and operated, boutique-style company—not a large nationwide chain. As a small, family-run business, we take pride in offering a personalized, hands-on approach to hospitality. Our homes are carefully selected and located in the quieter, more scenic areas of Lake Tahoe, including the California North Shore, Olympic Valley, Alpine Meadows, the West Shore down to Rubicon Bay, and the Palisades at Tahoe ski area.
What makes our company stand out is our dedication to being here for you. As long-time locals (thirty plus years), we are always available to assist with your stay, ensuring a seamless and memorable Tahoe experience from booking to check-out. Whether you're here for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, we're committed to making your time in Tahoe truly special.
REQUIRED COUNTY STR PERMIT INFORMATION: STR 24-9100 | TOT #6481 | Max Occupancy is 7 | 2 Parking Spaces. Parking on the street is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway and/or garage at all times. Guest must agree to read and comply with Placer County's Good Neighbor Policies.
County Rules
As part of the Short-Term Rental Permit for this home, the county asks that we share the important rules and regulations with you. We appreciate your cooperation in following the guidelines listed below, also included in your signed Vacation Rental Agreement.
Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.
Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week. Per the County: No sound may be audible from the property line during quiet hours. Amplified sound (such as speakers) shall not be used outside or be audible from the parcel line of any short-term rental at any time.
Lights Out: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors at night.
Red Flag Warnings: Due to high risk of wildfire in our area, bonfires, charcoal barbecues, and wood-burning fire pits are always prohibited. On designated Red Flag Warning Days—when fire danger is especially severe due to dry conditions and high winds—all outdoor fires are prohibited, including gas grills and gas fire pits. These restrictions come directly from the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and must be followed for everyone's safety. It is each guest's responsibility to stay informed about Red Flag Warnings. They are announced on local news, radio, and social media, and you'll also see signs posted at fire stations throughout the area.
Winter Driving: Many highways, access roads, and driveways in the Tahoe area can become icy during the winter. For your safety, it's essential that between November 1st and April 30th your vehicle is winter-ready. Make sure brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater, and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires should be properly inflated with excellent tread, and you should always carry tire chains—even if you have an AWD/4WD vehicle. Double-check that your chains fit your tires and are in good working order. On many state highways and county roads, four-wheel drive and snow tires are required for safe travel.
Please be prepared for winter conditions: dress appropriately, stay in bounds at ski resorts and if you get lost, remain in place.
Garbage & Bears: Please do not feed the bears. Black bears are very common in this area and, over time, many have become used to human food and trash. Because they no longer have a natural fear of people, you may see them during your spring, summer, or fall stay. Feeding bears is illegal, and leaving food outside, trash unsecured, or doors and windows unlocked can lead to serious property damage to both homes and vehicles. To help prevent this, all waste must be placed in bear-proof bins or dumpsters and the latches secured. Placer County sorts recycling from the waste for you at our materials recovery facilities.
Office Holiday Hours
The TTVR office is closed on New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.
