Welcome to "Hygge Barn" our cozy modern cabin on the beautiful West Shore of Lake Tahoe! They say the West Shore is the Best Shore. Location, Location, Location! Walk to Sugar Pine public beach, coffee shops, restaurants, and markets! We are also just a few minutes drive from Tahoe City where you can enjoy lakefront restaurants, boutiques, yoga, and cafes. There are world-renowned beaches and famous ski resorts just minutes from the home.
The space
Wake up to a hot cup of pour over coffee and cook breakfast in our fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen comes with fully stocked pots/pans, toaster, Chemex, Nespresso, electric stovetop, spices, foil, plastic wrap, Tupperware, & so much more!

Downstairs our cabin features a full kitchen, a small breakfast nook area, wood burning fireplace to keep you warm on cold nights, a remodeled bathroom with heated floors, hi-speed WiFi, a flat screen TV and access to Netflix/HBO MAX/Disney Plus. There is also 1 bedroom on the bottom floor with a queen sized bed and forest views.

The master bedroom (upstairs) is very spacious, floods with natural light and provides stunning forest views and room to practice yoga (matt and dumb bells provided) while gazing out to pine trees.

During the summer outdoor seating/dining is available where most choose to spend time.

Self Check in via keyless entry. Code will be sent to you within 24-48 hours before check in.
Other things to note
** Owners own second cabin on lot.
*** The home does not have central heat. The primary heat source is a wood stove. We also have electric wall heaters that work very well to keep the cabin nice and cozy if you prefer to not use the wood stove.
****Weather & California Fire Season: unfortunately, wildfires have become a regular occurrence during the fire season (July - Oct). As such, we recommend purchasing trip/travel insurance. We are unable to predict smoke and/ or air quality conditions and as such no refunds will be given for wildfires, air quality, or other weather conditions including snow storms and repercussions due to snow storms such as power outages, Wi-Fi disturbance, etc.
****Winter driving restrictions may be in effect during snowy weather, with chains or 4WD required. The roads are well maintained and frequently plowed; however, No refunds will be given for winter weather/road conditions including late arrival and/or early departures. We ask that all guests purchase trip insurance.

***Pet friendly. We allow a max of two 2 well behaved dogs. Must include pet in the reservation. Pet fees apply

This cabin offers its guests laundry facilities. The front desk is open around the clock.
