Hmmm...

Well, I won't dis-recommend the place - excellent central location, great view across Taichung from our 29th floor room, and reasonably good breakfast selection (in a vast, rather unoccupied banqueting hall), and friendly staff. But do not be taken in by the pictures of the rooms posted on the booking website - no carpet, no parquet floor, no warm reflected lighting - our Executive room, nice, light and spacious though it was, looked like a converted condo apartment - which is what the rooms are: the building in which the Inn is situated used to be a hotel and condominium, and several floors of the condo apartments have been converted to more hotel space - without adding too much of a hotel touch. The overall impression is of elegance and quality which have fallen on slightly hard times... Note that we booked an Executive room - I am not sure the smaller rooms would be as large or light as ours was. 5/10.
