You can tell it was "economical"

We got a room on the top floor, but the elevator only goes up to the floor below it, so we had to carry our luggage and walk up the stairs. Not something I was looking for on my vacation. The hallway appeared to be dark, and the room appeared to be quite old but was clean though. There's not too much excitement around the hotel and access to subway/metro was about a 10 minute walk.

Smelly headboard

This was definitely not a business hotel...more akin to a motel. Walls are thin ensuring that u get a ringside sear to next door. Headboard in my room was smelly, like someone who hasn't showered in days. Area is quiet, although it's under a highway. Nearest 2 subway stops a brisk 10 min walk.

Great location near shops and parks.

Nice little hotel.Staff spoke enough English for us to get by, except kitchen staff.Breakfast has some toast cereals and eggs/ bacon etc and the usual Chinese selection of congee and stir fry etc.It wasn't especially cheap but suited us well.very clean and no smokey smells like you get in some hotels inTaipei

Checking in was painless and the front desk staff were very friendly. Room was clean and adequate room amenities. There isn't really much difference between the standard room and the upgrade. Stick to the standard if you can. Location is very good with food stalls all around the area. The 2 MRT stations are about a 10-12 minute walk. Head left as you exit the hotel and take a 3 minute walk around the corner. Tired?...there's a massage centre, also a 3-minute walk around the corner heading right exiting the hotel. Breakfast spread was good. Recommended!

Check in was pleasantly smooth. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean with adequate amenities. Very comfortable and air conditioning was very good. Great location. Easy access to most places. MRT station is about a 12 minute walk. Breakfast spread was decent. Highly recommended!

Decent hotel with tasty breakfast

It's centrally located in an more upscaled area with high-end asian restaurants and shops. Had in-room wireless internet that worked great. There is one bus line (#606) nearby that passes an MRT station. Most memorable for me was the breakfast buffet: it had both Chinese and Western good and plenty of variety (meat, vegetable and fruit) to suit all three meals actually.

Good Location

Very good value. I screwed up on the room type when making my reservation (would always recommend a jacuzzi tub at all Beauty Hotels), but other than that, good property and value. staff is helpful, location of Zimei is across from a mall, with great eateries close by and 10-15 minute walk to the MRT. Would stat here again.

Hotel is satisfactory for the price.

Room doesn't look like what's in the picture. The rooms are very small and tight. I had requested upper floor room but was given the 2nd floor Japanese style room. They have a good variety of choices to choose for breakfast which is located in basement. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, congee, vegetables, hot wings, chicken nuggets, soup, salad bar, toast, fresh fruits, tofu, rice with meat sauce, and juice/coffee. Shampoo, body wash, and towels are in the drawers. Hotel is about 15 min. walk to transit.

Great hotel for the money

Good nice little hotel. Clean room. Nicely designed. Only problem is that it is a bit far from the MRT station, but not a deal breaker for me. Breakfast had a large variety. Much better than the "Google hotel" I stayed in Mountain View for 3 times more.

Fake Pictures of rooms

The pictures of the rooms are not what you get. The picture of the outside of the hotel has been enhanced and photo shopped. The rooms are tiny, nothing like the photo are the website. They even show the same pictures in the elevator that are on the website but that what you get. The hotel breakfast was great. It's not a bad hotel but alot smaller than the pictures shows. The desk clerk did seem to know the local area. The tub was dirty in 4 of the 5 rooms that we had.

An outstanding hotel for this price range!

We stayed 7 days at the Zimei and really enjoyed our stay there. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean,the breakfasts are delicious - with plenty of local and western style food - really well presented and new dishes each day. The staff are unfailingly helpful and kind. My only wish is that they would put a couple of chairs in the small front lobby. It is in a handy position with lots of small shops and restaurants nearby. There are 24 hour ATMs just up the street and across the road is the 5-star Evergreen Vegetarian Restaurant which even non-vegetarians like ourselves kept returning to. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit. An outstanding hotel for this price range!
