Good location and price. Only a block from the main train station and lots of place to shop and eat. Has coffee and tea available with small seating area. Room is comfortable but the bathroom is elevated a step high so watch out. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful, speaks English well.

Bed was average, too soft for us. Location was great- near Taipei station. However, our flight was early at 0825 hrs and therefore, we have to take a transport to the airport. The airport rail only operates at 0600hrs and we needed to check in at 0600hrs. However, hotel relax was excellent in arranging for our transport.

The bathroom is extremely moldu and our room lost power for an entire night and part of the next day. Since there is no one at the desk 24 hours we had to get ready in the dark hot damp room. My friends room also had a cockroach as well.

Pluses for Hotel Relax One: 1. Convenient to Taipei Main Station MRT Exit M5/Z4. 2. Great water pressure. 3. Great towels--fluffy, clean, new. 4. Japanese style toilet, new and clean-looking with bidet, etc. 5. Breakfast stalls - just go out of the hotel, turn left, go just a few meters down the street. 6. On the 10th and 11th floors of a high rise. First two floors are McDonalds and a sushi restaurant called Sushiro, so additional food options there without even leaving the building. 7. Didn't notice any noise through the walls from neighbours. Cons: 1. Room / corridor / lobby areas smell--although we quickly got used to it and it didn't bother us past the first day. 2. Corridor / lobby areas have a grimy / dim look with stained furniture, etc. (There's a tea and coffee area that feels more bright and clean.) 3. While the room overall felt clean, the shower and toilet area had a lot of built up grime / mold / algae along the edges. 4. Elevator can be a bit slow and busy because the building is shared with two other hotels, a medical clinic, and some other businesses.

The location is fantastic with friendly staff

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the lobby on the 11th floor offered a lovely view along with complimentary water, coffee, and tea. After checking out, my parents were able to rest in the lobby for two hours, which was a great convenience. Highly recommend for its welcoming atmosphere and excellent service.
