Your cozy waterfront getaway awaits you just 13 miles from Downtown Talkeetna. Private and Tranquil, this small ground floor addition to The Talkeetna Alaska Lakeside Lodge is approximately 800 square feet. You will have the entire 10 acre property on Montana Lake completely to yourself as we only rent the Lodge out to one group at a time. This quaint ground level retreat sits below the Lodge Lakefront side and features a full kitchen, a bathroom and 1 private bedroom with a queen size bed. Additionally the small living room has 2 single beds, perfect for kids or teenagers. Guests can enjoy the convenience of TV, and WiFi, Games, Books and Toys. An outdoor fire pit and barbeque as well as a paddle boat and one man pontoon boat await you during your stay. We also have 2 fishing poles, life vests and two bikes available for your use. Our lake is stocked with rainbow trout. Fishing license required. After your adventures to town or on the lake the bathroom offers a refreshing shower for a relaxing end to the day. Our place will help you feel at home while you're traveling in and around Talkeetna or serve as a restful stopover on your way to Denali. Come let us spoil you!

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Collect bed linens and towels and deposit into the hampers in each bathroom. Please make certain all trash is disposed of into sealed garbage bags and placed in the garbage bins located downstairs.
Load and start the dishwasher. Please make certain that all life jackets and fishing poles and tackle boxes are returned to their original locations and are not left out in the elements.
Return the house key to the lock box before you leave Remember check out time is before 12:00 The cleaning crew arrives at noon to prepare for the new guests. We hope you have enjoyed your stay!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

No Fireworks allowed on the Property or on the lake. 4 people maximum allowed on this rental. Extra per day/per person fees will apply if violated.
Do not leave food outside. No Fish or Game processing allowed inside or outside of our cabin and property. Local guides can accommodate your needs.
No indoor smoking. Smoking only allowed outside away from open windows and doors. Please dispose of your cigarettes' and cigars into the fire pit.

We had a lovely stay!The home was spotless, all new. The kitchen is extremely well appointed with cookware, silverware, coffee and tea as well as everything needed to make it.The bed was very comfortable, the closet huge. There were room darkening blinds that fit the windows well. Plenty of warm blankets.We really appreciated the luggage racks - most places don't provide them.Bikes, grill, fishing gear and bear spray were available, as were some extras in the bathroom - toothbrushes/paste.The location on the lake was so relaxing. We built a fire in the evenings and just enjoyed. Given the weather (it rained most of the time) we did not go out on the lake - maybe next time!Our host was available for any questions we had before and during our stay, which was very appreciated!A couple of small improvements would be a bench (inside or outside) to take our shoes off and a tray to put them in if they are really messy, and a coat rack. A washer and dryer would make it perfect!But even without these things we would definitely stay here again and again, thank you for having us!
