Stayed in this hotel 3 years ago and found it just as comfortable this time. Ticked all the boxes for me and location is probably the best for Old Town. We had a fabulous break here once again.

Hospitable

Pros: The hotel was very quiet and we slept well.

Cons: Our room was beginning to show signs of wear and tear.

Location: It's close the everything in the old town.

I found the personnel at the reception desk and the restaurant to be accommodating. Merchants House has old world charm with contemporary fixtures.

Romantic place close to everything we needed. Quiet even though in the middle of old town. Free shots of Vana Tallinn and Red wine in the lobby, great after chilly walks in the evening

Very friendly staff, from reception to cleaning lady. Never before seen so many smiles in one place in Estonia! Lovely historical building. Excellent breakfast with many choises made by order. Private free sauna. So far best historical building hotel I’ve stayed in Tallin - and I have tried almost all of them.
