Not what it used to be

This hotel is OK for a night but be aware that the building is not maintained properly and service is poor. I stayed here as the Hyatt around 15 years ago, when the hotel was the best option in Ein Bokek, so had expectations of something better. Specific complaints: - the building and room is not being maintained (broken/heavily worn furniture, lights, TVs, bathtubs, mirrors, etc abound) - the food is of a low standard even for a buffet (large trays of canteen style food, no fresh grill/carvery/pasta type stations, instant coffee and orange squash for breakfast, etc) - service is poor (many staff could not speak English, used plates and debris all over the dining room, no service to get drinks at dinner, sloppy uniforms, etc) I paid a rate for bed and breakfast which is admittedly on the lower side in the area but hardly cheap and similar to a good mid-range hotel in London or NYC. I was not expecting a 5* experience, but would rate this something like a 2-3* type operation now, albeit in a large, impressive building. Overall: I would not stay again. Opt for something of a higher or lower standard. The Isrotel at the other end of town (not the Ganim) looks pretty good but pricey. The Masada youth hostel up the road is also a surprisingly good budget option (with not dissimilar food)!

Cet hôtel est imposant et beau la nuit avec sa façade d'un blanc impeccable et les illuminations, la chambre est spacieuse et calme, par contre il est moins bien situé par rapport au Dead Sea Mall et des restos. Rajouter 1 km de marche... La TV est une honte.Ecran démodé et une dizaine de chaines uniquement... La reception est difficile à joindre. La moquette est démodée. En fait cet hotel mise sur le standing architectural, mais le service est négligé. Personnel sympa et pro. Mais le problème vient du management qui transforme cet hôtel en une belle coquille vide...

En général l'hôtel David Dead Sea Resort & Spa est très bien, les chambres ont une vue imprenable, qualité prix est un peu trop cher. Mais quand on est en vacances on ne compte pas.

Riesiges Hotel

Ein sehr großes, typisches Massentourismus Hotel. Es verfügt über eine Vielzahl von Angeboten, wie Spa, Pool, Animation, Shops etc. Zimmer machte einen etwas renovierungsbedürftigen Eindruck, war aber voll ausgestattet, Aussicht ist toll: Strand, totes Meer. Das Hotel hat einen eigenen Strand-Abschnitt mit kostenlosen Liegen, Handtüchern, Sonnenschirmen, Duschen etc. Essen ist ok, reichhaltiges Buffet, aber starke Massenabfertigung. Es machte aus hygienischer Sicht auch keinen sehr professionellen Eindruck. Das Gäste-Klientel ist z.T. nicht sehr angenehm. Abendanimation war laut, langweilig und peinlich...war aber wohl für viele Gäste ansprechend. Sehr schlecht ist, dass, bis auf das Personal an der Rezeption, die Mitarbeiter kein englisch sprechen, was die Kommunikation stark erschwert. So etwas hätte ich im israelischen Tourismus-Sektor nicht erwartet. Auch viele Informationen sind nur auf hebräisch.

Journée repos

Belle vue. Calme. Terrasse sympa.Pas de bruits de couloir. Piscine relaxe. Pas la plus belle du coin mais c'est surtout la vue et le calme que j'ai aimé.

Hotelii ja alue on hieno paikka rentoutumiselle. Maisema parvekkeelta, Kuollut meri ja hotellin palvelut tarjoavat mahdollisuuden sielun ja ruumiin hyvinvoinnin hoitamiseen.
