First time at this property. Selected for downtown location. No parking at hotel unless you want to use valet at $40 a night. There is a parking garage next to the hotel at max of $15 per night. Checkin/checkout was quick and efficient. Room was nice and clean; (though walkin shower grout needs attention). Room HVAC was set for 64 and when we set for 72, the heat never came on. Shower body wash was empty; the front desk did resolve both, but should such require guest labor at $300 plus a night? House free wifi was useless; turned off and went with my mobile service. Breakfast buffet was adeqaute but chaffing dishes did not keep food warm. Plus the chef in charge of cooking the bacon, needs training; (a non-separated slab, one on top of another is neither appealing nor easy to take a rasher or two). Would we stay again... maybe.

The hotel only had 2 people working the front desk and they need way more. Lines were long and they promised to text when our room was ready but didn’t. Place needs a refresh. Rooms are worn and public areas look shabby.

Great stat, shortage on towels

It was a busy Gasparilla weekend and everything in the hotel was maintained very clean and as expected customer service. When we checked in to our room, The only issue we had was that, I had 5 in a room (and noted in the reservation) and were only given two towels, one hand towel one wash cloth, one bath floor towel. Called housekeeping and we never received the towels, so we went to the front desk and picked up towels (only received bath towels). That evening housekeeping came through and took our towels, did not make our beds or take the trash out. That evening we had to go back to the front desk and ask for towels to then realize we were given bath floor towels
