Never stay at this hotel

My stay here was horrible had to switch rooms because the previous one was so dirty, hair everywhere looked like drug addicts previously stayed in there as there was burn marks all over the ground and the door was kicked in so it did not close properly everything is run down and beat up my new room was also dirty I would never recommend staying here there's way better places to stay in the area such as other hotels and airbnbs stay away from this hotel

When we arrived there was kids screaming and running in front of our door. We unloaded our car and a man with a bandana mask lurked around us, very scary. To top it off, we walked into the bathroom and there was this something gross.

Poor quality

The photos do not match the poor quality and condition of the inn. It’s actual a motel and not a hotel. Did not feel safe starting there with my children. Unfortunately they charged my card for the whole stay upon check in and refused to refund my money after seeing the conditions. Do not recommend!

One staff member was extremely rude and we got bites that were congruent only with bed bugs. However, when trying to make management aware so that they could ensure other guests did not have this experience; we were met with accusations of dishonesty and absolutely no apologies for the disrespect. The hotel was also noisy but that was mostly guests in the middle of the night AND proximity to road/Busch Gardens.

I contacted the property about this but since they didn’t seem to care or believe me: 1) rudeness of 1 staff member (disrespect in asking personal questions that were very hurtful) 2) Bites that we got towards the end of our stay that were congruent only with bed bugs (yes I have some images) A simple I’m very sorry and we will make sure we inspect the room thoroughly AND talk to our staff about appropriate conversations is all that was desired so other people did not have the same experience. However, I received accusations that I was lying about the bites and absolutely no apologies for the comments/questions made to me. I never even told them the hotel was noisy because I don’t expect them to be able to control other guests all hours of the evening.

It was convenient to activity. Things that did not meet expectations of other La Quinta properties : beds in poor condition in both rooms, AC loud in one room- requested service but it never happened, bathroom area extremely small, safety lock on door was non functional, very limited breakfast items, only staff seen was at front desk so no none monitoring the hallways so people just standing around outside of other peoples rooms and kids running down hallways making lots of loud noises, banging on doors and running away, and it was quite unsettling. Next time we will choose more wisely.
