La Casa Rosa

This little casita has it all with location, amenities, charm, personality and a 5 star cozy factor!
I lived here for over 10 years and lovingly furnished it with all my colorful, quirky, favorite things.
Casa Rosa is part of a four home compound located only three blocks from Taos Plaza on a quiet one block dead end street. Never any traffic noise. Each house is surrounded by high stucco walls for privacy, security and serenity.
Casa Rosa is a small yet complete little house with a living/dining area, full, well supplied kitchen, full bath and queen bedroom with a new mattress. I provide bedside tables with reading lamps , a dresser and closet/trastero with hangers and two robes.
Casa Rosa is light and airy throughout with high beamed ceilings, three skylights and big screened windows.
It is cool in summer with ceiling fans and cozy in winter heated by baseboard heat and a little kiva fireplace. All fragrant cedar firewood is provided for guests in a driveway woodbox.
Decor is bright and eclectic and all art is original and local.
There is an onsite laundry room with washer and dryer and all laundry supplies provided to my guests.
Parking for your vehicle is right outside your double gate.
Casa Rosa is the smallest of the four homes in this compound yet has by far the largest courtyard. There are two seating areas, dining table with chairs and a charcoal Bbq grill with supplies provided. There are in ground and potted plants throughout the courtyard watered by an automatic drip system in summer. The cushioned lounge chair is under a big apple tree and my lilac is taller than the house. The wall fountain provides the soothing sound of water and the wind chimes are so peaceful. Birds are always feeding at my hanging feeders (bird seed provided to refill). Truly a special spot to relax.
As with all of my Taos properties ( Casa Rosa makes 12) I am dog friendly with a per stay per pet fee. I provide dog sheets to cover loveseat and bed for dogs who prefer comfort as opposed to Saltillo tile floors. I only ask guests to pick up outside after their dog. The high surrounding wall keeps even the smallest dog safe and secure. The dog door is a legacy from my sweet boy Jack , my 120 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback who loved every inch of my space for his 16 years. His dog door enables your pup to come and go at will. When the double front gate is latched you all have perfect security as well as total privacy.
Casa Rosa is so well suited for 1-2 guests. Some guests stay for only one night on the way somewhere or for a quick getaway, but I do offer a generous 30% discount for stays of a month or more.
Guests can also chose to rent the entire compound for a group of friends or family since the four homes can provide a getaway for up to 14. Do contact me directly for compound rates well in advance of a visit since these do take planning, but provide lasting memories for everyone.
