A one not stop-over here and it’s highly recommended. The owner and his family made us feel very welcome, great pool and lovely view! The food was amazing, we felt guilt not eating it all but it’s well worth eating here! We stayed in the room but we were in a campervan, I would have no hesitation in staying on the campsite side if it wasn’t so damn hot at this time of year. A really nice stop off, recommended.

Food was delicious. Chef was very pleasant too. Unfortunately, flies nuisance ruined our lunch. Therefore, we had to go out for dinner. Pool facilities were brilliant, my kids enjoyed very much.

Perfect!

I stayed for one night and wished I had stayed longer! The hotel is totally perfect and the service from Pascal and his team was amazing. Very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The pool was perfect and the food was amazing. It was the best meal I had during a week in the area. I cannot rate this pace highly enough and thoroughly recommend it. I hope to return!

Best kids swimming pool motel clean big room clean bathroom nice hard beds working toilet and seat. Very safe 24 7 Police check point 1000 meters from motel very calm relaxing drinking mint tea at swimming pool kids spent about 6 hours in pool very friendly welcoming owners and staff a little far from airport 25 mins drive but I always hire car from airport very quite town. kids also loved the playground wife loved the bright stars at night this was my first trip to Ouarzazate but 17th trip to Morocco this place ticks all the boxes for families the food is great must try kids had etter time then film studio I will be back again with family.

Sur la route du Sud Est du Maroc entre vallée et désert L'escale de Ouarzazate est un havre paisible et reposant.L'accueil chaleureux du maître des lieux,sa gentillesse,sa générosité et son sens du bon conseil vous rassure et donne envie de retourner à Tazentoute.Chambre spacieuse et typique,piscine et restauration vous procurent paix relaxation et enérgie.Un emplacement idéale avec une propreté irréprochable et restauration succulentes. Mille mercis à Christophe et à son épouse !On se reverra sûrement un jour!

Amazing hosts

L'Escale de Ouarzazate is a campsite so it's not a hotel in the traditional sense - bedrooms are in a basic ground-floor block. But that is more than made up by the hosts - Christophe and Nouenne - whose welcome, local knowledge and hospitality is exemplary. Christophe was great on local sights and those useful cultural tips that you don't always read about e.g. how to tip the self-employed 'parking attendants' that pop up everywhere! (5DH) The breakfast (local pancake, bread, fresh orange juice -the best! coffee, hot chocolate) and meals were delicious, Nouenne lent us her own hairdryer when my wife needed one. We didn't get to use the swimming pool as the storms in the mountains had made it quite cold and wet but waking up to the view of the Atlas made up for it. Would recommend to anyone.

Family relaxing Hotel

Great Stay

We had a great stay at L'Escale de Ourzazate. The location is close enough to Ourzazate as well as Eit Benhaddou and other day trips. Christoph and the rest of the staff were extremely hospitable and made our stay very pleasant. The rooms are nice, large and clean. Hope to make it back there some day as it was too chilly to enjoy the amazing pool.

Nice respite from busy cities and highway drives

I was expecting it to be a bit closer to the city so when I first saw the sign I thought it was the wrong place. The room was cool and the bed was comfortable. However, wifi was not great. I had to wait until the morning to get decent enough service (in the restaurant/pool area only) to load my gps travel plans for the day. But a great place for a rest and breakfast on a trip to the mountains and Sahara.

Wonderful

Really enjoyed our stay. The owners felt more like hosts sharing their home with us. Great location close to ait Benhaddou but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. They also have a pool with a great view.

Great staff, great location 20 Minutes from Ouarzazate and 10 from the Kasbah. Food on site is awesome, Nawal and Kiki are wonderful hosts. Good value for the money. Will go back for sure.
