Spa pool is not a spa pool, there are no jets, in the king studio. Its a tub with thermal water. But its hot, you can add what tempeture you like. King bed is hard. Thermal pools are really nice, there are 5, all at different tempetures. It was a great and relaxing motel. Very close to the lake, staff are awesome and friendly.

We had a spa room at the front with beautiful views of the lake and very private. Our room was excellent and well serviced daily. Checkin was easy and quick and the Owner had plenty of local knowledge. We did not use the thermal spa as we had a private room spa. Only issue was people upstairs walking around the floorboards did creak a little but nothing o whinge about it was a magnificent stay.

4 nights in lake front room. Balcony on side, good. Bed comfy. Kitchenette great. Cooked 3 nights. Stairs to unit were a challenge with heavy bags. Shower hose a challnge to wrangle but got there. Thermal pools amazing. Great to relax after a day of site sightseeing. Host very welcoming and friendly. Walkable to restaurants and town. Lake walk lovely, close to hot beach. Parking on site. Quite even though on main road.

Thermal pools are great but room is very dated and spa in our room was so dingy looking we didn’t use it. Not surprising the Room smelt musty since it’s carpeted and spa in back. Room was clean, bed was fine.

Room was nice and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is a small dairy and take away shop within a few minutes walk. I used my private spa pool and the main pools during my time. FYI, not a big deal to me, but in the private room you can only access the water for the spa tub between 7:30-9:30am, then again at 2:30-11:00 pm. But the main pools are open so...I did like that it was adult only! It was very relaxing and I would stay again.

A lovely, homely property. Very welcoming and the friendly proprietor greeted us by name. Close to everything in Taupo, fabulous views and the thermal pool complex was wonderful. We will definately become regulars at this motel.

This was my third stay at this property, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst. Roadworks: I was not informed in advance about the major road construction right in front of the motel. If I had known, I would have chosen not to stay this time. Wi-Fi: The internet connection was extremely unstable and much slower than in my previous visits. I could not attend an important online meeting and had to move to a café instead. Cleaning/Service: By 3 p.m., the room was still not ready, meaning the in-room spa could not be used on time. For a property that sets 3 p.m. as the check-in time, this was very disappointing. Overall, I found the management response unhelpful and not sincere. I hope improvements can be made, but I cannot recommend this place as it stands.
