This property is currently under new management and really needs a lot of work to bring it up to standard, particularly for the price they're charging, the accommodation was not adequate and poor value for money spent. It is not clean, a bit shabby in decor, and the grounds are very messy requiring a real lot of hard work, It is pet-friendly which is excellent and the host was accommodating in the ways he could be, quite friendly, yet it was promoted as a cottage and our accommodation was more like an apartment in the top half of the office building. I immediately asked to be moved upon our arrival but was told the separate cottages were all occupied. All appliances were new, new comfortable beds in each room and some renovations had been done to upgrade the space yet it has a lo-ng way to go for these prices. The linens and towels were very poor quality and the furnishings were quite worn. The fire pit at each accommodation was a nice feature. This place could be a diamond-in-the-rough, tranquil and back to nature, but it needs a lot of work to be a comfortable, adequate vacation. Access to the lake means you cross a busy daytime road and it has quite a decent to get to the lake. There were no hand rails on the wooden steps leading to the lake, risky and not adequate for children nor older adults. Anyone with mobility issues would find this to be a real challenge. This information was not represented in the listing of the accommodation, like many other items.
