About this property

Castle in Old Town, Levant Room

Once a fortress before the Mongol invasions, it was from the 16th century the house of the Persian Shah Administrator for Eastern Georgia. It also hosted a small nunnery for some time. During the Communist period, it was transformed into communal apartments for up to 110 individuals. It has returned to its formal glory, and a limited number of its rooms are made available for some happy few, every year. We are happy to welcome you and hope you will enjoy your stay.
This room was initially for the gatekeeper of the house. It is now adorned with ancient blue tiles from the Levant and with Moroccan carpets. The shower was put in one of the alcoves. It has access to a small terrace behind the church, next to the Rock, under the vaulted arch that supports the 3rd floor of the house.
During your stay at this castle, you're just a quick walk from Museum of Illusions Tbilisi. Enjoy features like free breakfast, plus an outdoor pool and a hot tub.
