Casa Gatti-Private Apartment in a Traditional Canarian House-Central Lanzarote

Discover our little corner of paradise in the heart of Lanzarote. Casa Gatti is part of a traditional Canarian house protected by the Heritage of Lanzarote, lovingly restored to preserve the original charm and authenticity of early 20th-century architecture.

This is not a standardized or “perfect” hotel-style accommodation: it is a real home, with a story. During the renovation, we deliberately chose to intervene as little as possible, preserving original materials and surfaces. In some areas, signs of time are still visible—traces of the past that we decided to respect rather than cover up.

The apartment is completely private and includes a spacious bedroom, a cozy living room, and a large bathroom.
The only shared space is the ground-floor entrance, used solely to access the stairs: from there on, the space is entirely yours.

There is no full kitchen, but you will find everything you need for a slow breakfast or a simple meal: refrigerator, kettle, microwave, and tableware. A table is also available for comfortable meals, including take-away food. Several restaurants and local eateries are easily reachable nearby.

At certain times of the year, it is possible to add breakfast, when available.
Breakfast is homemade, Italian-style, freshly prepared with high-quality ingredients and great attention to detail. This is an occasional and temporary service, not available year-round.

One important thing to know before booking: during your stay, you may share the bedroom window area with turtledoves, which often choose this spot to build their nest. This is part of the natural and rural environment surrounding the house. If this type of experience is not for you, Casa Gatti may not be the right accommodation.

In short, staying at Casa Gatti means enjoying a true immersion into Canarian style, in an authentic home surrounded by nature.

We’re happy to welcome you to our traditional Canarian home, built in 1900. We live here with four cats – but don’t worry, they won’t come into contact with you, especially if you’re not a fan or have allergies.

Hosting travellers from all over the world is one of our greatest joys. We love meeting new people and sharing stories about our years living in Lanzarote.

Our home is in a perfect location – just 10 minutes from the sea and 15 minutes from the city, making it an ideal base to explore every part of Lanzarote.

At the same time, you'll be surrounded by the peace of a traditional inland village, where life moves at a slower pace.

Right across the street, there’s a small grocery store – perfect for picking up essentials without needing to head into town.
