Nice apartment - horrible managing company.

I booked the apartment for 3 days and for practical reasons ended up needing to extend my stay. I would not recommend it though. It is a spacious and generally speaking a pleasant apartment but the costumer care is absolutely awful. The rental comes with a 'hidden cost' of £60 cleaning fees. There is no mention of it when you book with Hotels.com; you only know about it after completing the booking. It is mentioned at the bottom of the confirmation email the managing company send you. The managing company would not take any responsibility for this lack of transparency. They admitted that this was a recurring problem with people who booked through Hotels.com but felt that it was still fair to bill for it. I am told that £60 would get you a cleaner for 5 hours. Yet, the shower cubicle had mold. When I mentioned it to the person whom I was liaising with she said she was "sorry" but did not send someone to clean it. She had polite manners at least. Sadly, her boss is a rude person with no manners who on a telephone conversation with me called me F_ _ _er among other 'pearls' he used to express himself.
