Economy price but experience below low

For the price I expected a basic accomodation. But this did not even meet that level of expectation. Renovations were going on as the motel has been bought out. So maybe things will improve in the future. The room was very stuffy and AC did not work. The tv reception was ghosting with double images. Wifi was so slow I was unable to call up emails. Most disappointed was the lack of interest or friendliness of the staff. My phone was briefly misplaced in the morning and I retraced my steps back to the room. When I went to the front desk to inquire if it had been turned in the only response was "lots of people around, probably it has been stolen". They did not even offer to take down my information incase it was turned in. Luckily I found it in the parking lot it had dropped from a bag carrying items. Sometimes a little empathy goes a long way when people are stressed. I, however, was met with indifference.

Unfortunately, our stay at the Capri Motor Inn wasn’t the best experience. I had booked a double queen room for four people, but we were initially given a single queen. When I brought it to the front desk's attention, they corrected it... but the new room felt noticeably less cared for. It had a strong, unpleasant smell (possibly from something left in the fridge), and nothing in the room was plugged in. It gave the impression that it hadn’t been used or maintained in quite some time. I appreciated that the staff addressed the issue quickly, but overall the room didn’t feel clean or welcoming.

They gave us a room that appeared to be in the middle of a renovation. Fresh taping and mudding on the walls. The AC didnt work, the screen in window was broken. It was so hot and smelled like renovations. Had a terrible sleep. Told the front desk in the morning, and he didn't care. Just asked if I wanted a receipt. Continential breakfast pancake machine was in desperate need of a cleaning as it kept jamming up and produced very tiny pancakes. The other option was 4 pieces of bread available. So we just ended up going to the Tims next door. Would not stay here again, nor recommend to anyone.

Stay far away.

Disgusting. Filthy. Then overcharged on credit card and they blamed Hotels.com when the charges clearly came from the hotel. Hotels.com wete not much help either. Bank investigating. From other reviews, this has happened before. Bugs. Gross!

Bed was uncomfortable. Woke up stiff and sore. They also only provided a top sheet for the sofa bed and a comforter with no other sheet to use with the comforter. Hair on top of hair dryer like it's never wiped down but other than that it was fairly clean. Kept hurting my toes going to the bathroom as the transition strip was missing between the carpet and the linoleum. When we went to check out, us and others staying there were all waiting to check out with no one around. Tried phoning and no answer.

One bed sheet had a huge stain on it and there was visible vomit on the wall in 3 places. We asked them to switch rooms or fix or clean it and the refused to do both. We have stayed in many places and this was the worst experience by far...

I did not realize the type of room I selected was only accessible by stairs, with my wife accessiblity problems was to difficult. The Hotel willingly move us to a different type of room on the ground floor. Be aware renovations are in progress. Saying the Breakfast was sparse is an under statement.
