Elevator had been broken since 2 days before our arrival and during our entire stay.
We unloaded all our bags and skis in the underground garage onto carts only to find out the only elevator in the building was broken. The directions we received in our email said the unit was on the 4th floor which was 5 floors up from the garage. We hauled everything up to the 4th floor only to find out the unit was on the 3rd floor. After talking with someone we found out the elevator had been broken for 2 days before our arrival and was told parts had to be shipped in. I have asthma and my wife has bad knees. Climbing 3 flights of stairs from the ground level several times a day at 9500' was almost unbearable for both of us. Also, the first time we turned on the kitchen sink it started to fill up since it was extremely clogged. We called for a plumber Monday morning. A plumber finally showed up four days later. He tried unclogging it but needed a larger piece of equipment. By this time it was late in the day on Thursday; we agreed for him to return the next day since we were checking out on Friday. The property is managed by Vacasa, which is done remotely from out of the state of Colorado. This process was cumbersome with no follow up from them relative to the clogged kitchen drain. When we advised Vacasa about the elevator, they said they would have it assessed. I told them it's already noted as inop, the assessment has already been done. How do we get a refund for a part of our rent? Had we known the elevator was inop we would not have stayed there.
